Used to indicate that the subject being
described is expressing an ability, asking
for permission, or possibility to do so.
EXAMPLES:
“Can you please turn down the volume?”
“Can you please tell me the time?”
“I can recommend a good restaurant

It expresses future intentions and promises;
also used as an invitation or offer.
