 A giraffe’s long neck is
an adaptation that
allows it to eat plants
usually out of reach.
bog
 Noun
 An area of very wet
spongy ground.
 We explored the bog
and discovered a new
species of frog.
nutrients
 Noun
 A nutrient is a mineral
absorbed by the roots
of plants to help it
grow.
 The crops grew well
because the soil was
rich in nutrients.
tantalize
 Verb
 To tantalize is to tease
someone with
something that is out
of reach.
 The smell of the
brownies was
tantalizing but mom
said they were for
company.

 An enzyme is a
something made by
living things that can
change an object.
