The library had 21 days in session in September with over 6,500 student visits and 1,122 database sessions, while the top books were checked out over 800 times. Classes like American History and English used the library for projects on topics such as the Reconstruction Era and how technology has impacted modern culture, working at collaboration levels 3 and 4. Staff also met with teachers to plan collections and worked on developing cataloging and website design skills.

 Mr. Duckless’ seniors researched a career of choice.
 Mr. Richards 9th grade American History class came in to
research the Reconstruction Era. They got their first
introduction to U.S. History in Context database.
 Mr. Duckless’ sophomores researched whether Ray Bradbury’s
ideas (in Fahrenheit 451) have come to fruition in the modern
day. Have technological advancements had a negative or a
positive impact on society?
 Fiona and Jen Wissell met to discuss and plan the French
collection in the library. Fiona set to work cataloging the
collection is in the planning stages of a classroom cataloging
project.
 Lise has been working with Eric Hall and learning Google Sites.
She is learning some valuable new skills and is working on the
new library website.
