This document discusses transitioning a church from a maintenance model to a mission-driven model focused on fulfilling the Great Commission. It emphasizes that a mission-driven church prioritizes outreach to newcomers ("others") and making disciples over programs and attendance. The document provides guidelines for implementing a welcoming ministry focused on politely greeting guests, showing personal interest in them, and offering compassionate prayer. It encourages churches to repent from maintenance thinking and rededicate themselves to a mission of evangelism and disciple-making.

EVANGELISM 101: Lesson 1 - Biblical Foundations of EvangelismFrancis Hernandez
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” (Romans 10:13-15)
"It (Evangelism) comes from the same Greek word for gospel (euangelion) and means, literally, “gospeling.” When we evangelize we are “gospeling” — we are spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ." - https://www.ligonier.org/learn/devotionals/what-evangelism/
Every Christian is called to do the divine task of evangelism. Evangelism is a task not just for the select churches, or for the evangelists or pastors. This is Lesson 1 of EVANGELISM 101 Series. Given last April 23, 2021 at HOPE Christian Fellowship in Guinobatan, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines by Ptr. Francis S. Hernandez.

THE ART OF EFFECTIVE CHURCH USHERING TRAINING MANUALAmb Steve Mbugua
This manual will help you build a great ushering, security, protocol, sanctuary keepers, hospitality and catering team.
Your ushers can make or break your worship service.
The difference between a grumpy, distracted, and untrained usher compared to a cheerful, engaged, and “serve you with a smile” usher is huge and the conversion from weak to a strong team will be made easier using this manual.
I’ve always loved the ushering team; it has always been one of my favorite ministries to lead.
The usher’s role is so important but often undervalued, under trained, and less than organized.
Your ushers are a tremendous force in setting the tone for worship and helping to prepare the people to hear and respond to the Word of God.
This manual will equip your team to serve with the right attitude, passion, love, wisdom, understanding, skills, revelation and spirit of excellence.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

{"5":"Jesus said, “Go..”\nHow many believe this is the Mission statement of the Church? How many believe that it is the Mission statement of your church? \nYou see, Jesus was sent on a Mission; God is still on that Mission, and He has called us to be on that Mission. \n","9":"Now let’s look at statistics that define the Maintenance Culture Church\n1. You know what church transfer is, don’t you? Yeah, church hoppers, cruisamanics; steeple chasers; flakes.\n98% of all growth in the American Church is church transfer.\nEvery Sunday in every church we minister in, we discover that is true.\n2. Every pastor is busy, and every core worker is over worked. However, in all of our business, we are fulfilling the Mission that Jesus gave us by only 2%.\n3. What I mean by barren people is-- they are good Christians, go to church, read their bible, pray. Yet, they have not personally been involved in someone’s salvation in years, if ever.\n4. We are not effective in keeping people in our churches.\n5. 80% of American churches are non-growing.\nEconomists would call the church a “Non-Growth Industry”. You don’t invest in a non-growth industry. The church is like the steel companies 20 years ago. We are on the back side of the power curve and people are laughing. \nAs pastors we are the CEOs of a non-growth industry. what are we going to do about it? If we don’t do something we are going to become like the steel industry. \nDoes your church have the Maintenance Culture symptoms?\nThe Acts church was a mission driven church: “The word of the Lord spread and the number of disciples multiplied greatly.” The Acts Church multiplied disciples, they did not maintain members. \nDoes your church have the Maintenance Culture statistics?\n"}
