unequal treatment of members of one gender to

5. 1. Gender discrimination against women
The extreme form of gender discrimination on women is
female derogation. The term "sexism" is most often
referred to as the scope of the term "sexism" because it
is the first widely recognized term that applies to women.

chauvinism. Another related term is "misogynist,"
referring to the fear of women or femininity.
