China has what the ruling Communist Party calls managed capitalism. You may be considering either direct investment in China or purchase of Chinese stocks as ADRs on US exchanges. When the state has such a strong hand in the economy, fundamental analysis requires that you understand the basic goals of the rulers of the country. The people of any nation support the government when times are good, when there is a valid external threat, and when they are controlled by fear. Increasingly, Chinese rulers are dependent on high employment to keep their people happy. This is a nation that has experienced double digit growth for decades and is not cooling off. China has had a one couple one child policy that has reduce its growth rate and resulted in an aging population. As the Chinese economy has thrived wages have risen and China has lost some of its competitiveness. The worst recession in three quarters of a century has reduced demand for Chinese products from Europe and North America. Now Chinese leaders are aiming for a lower but still sustainable growth rate and the Chinese GDP is falling at about .3% per quarter. This discussion has to do with Chinese growth and social stability as it relates to investment in China.
The Connection between an Information Society and Economic Success
China is a great example of how electronic communications have helped economic success. Supply chains begin in China and stretch across the world. Retailers in North America computerize their re-ordering. Every purchase at Target or Wal-Mart goes to a satellite and down to headquarters. When the computer software decides that it is time to order more or an item the information goes to the factory in China in seconds. Much of China’s economic success has come from entering the electronic information age. However, Chinese growth and social stability are also linked to electronic communications and fast access to information.

This Solidiance paper provides a snapshot of the renewable energy market in China and demonstrates the challenges and opportunities faced by this industry. The paper identifies the three key drivers behind the increasing importance of renewable energies to China, before examining the Chinese Government’s targets and strategies at the root of this industry growth in China. By examining four key sectors in focus, China hydro power, China wind power, China solar power and China biofuels, this paper ultimately demonstrates that while renewable energies are vital to China’s continued sustainable growth, there are a number of challenges which must first be overcome in each of the renewable sectors examined here if China is to extract the maximum potential from their renewable energy industries.

The document summarizes demographic data and policies regarding population control in China. It notes that in 2006, China's population was 1.3 billion with a growth rate of 0.6%. It describes China's one-child policy introduced in 1979 to limit population growth, and exceptions to the policy. The policy has contributed to a skewed sex ratio and human trafficking issues. While helping control population, the long-term policy could increase elderly dependency on one working generation.
China has experienced significant economic growth and development in recent decades, transitioning to a more market-oriented economy that is more globally connected. It has the world's second largest economy and is a major exporter and importer, with its top exports including machinery, electronics, and manufactured goods. China has the largest population and labor force in the world, though unemployment and wages remain relatively low compared to developed nations. The economy is still dominated by state-owned enterprises, though private sector growth has increased. Environmental issues and workplace safety also remain concerns due to rapid industrialization.

His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej played a pivotal role in developing Thailand's biofuel sector through his research and promotion of producing ethanol from sugarcane and biodiesel from palm oil. This helped reduce Thailand's dependence on imported oil and added value to key agricultural commodities. The biofuel sector has since grown substantially and Thailand's policies now aim to further increase domestic biofuel consumption and production. King Bhumibol's foresight and innovations established Thailand as a leader in biofuels and provided an important foundation for the nation's sustainable development.

2. Introduction:
A 15 days Ministerial Conference on Mechanism of Renewable Energy Utilization and
Development for Developing Countries was held in Changsha, China. The conference which
commenced on May 15, 2012 and ended on May 24th 2012 brought together a total of 30
participants from 10 developing countries of Africa, South America, Asia and Easter Europe.
According to Mr. Huang Baodong, Vice President of POWERCHINA “the purpose of the
conference is to bridge the gap between China and the rest of the developing countries in a win-
win situation”
Because Liberia was one of the participatory countries, I was asked by my office (Rural and
Renewable Energy Agency of Liberia) to attend this conference. Initially I was to leave Liberia
for China on the 12th of May, 2012 but as circumstances could have it, I missed my flight. So, on
the 14th of May I finally left Monrovia, Liberia for Beijing China and a day later I reached my
destination.
