Have Your Say Event Strasbourg
This document summarizes a 3-month mission by MakeSense and CommonsSense to promote social entrepreneurship in the EU through collaborative workshops. They organized pre-events in 4 EU cities using their "Hold-Up" methodology to identify local challenges and solutions. The ideas were then presented at the "Social Entrepreneurs: Have Your Say!" event in Strasbourg, where they also facilitated workshops to solve challenges for 15 social entrepreneurs. In total, they engaged over 200 participants across Europe to help advance social entrepreneurship through collaborative problem solving.

Social innovation can generate social outcomes through better use of assets and resources in innovative ways across private, public, or social sectors. Some examples of social innovations include finding solutions to social care crises or teaching skills for the future. There are several ways civil society led social innovations can be surfaced and supported through local enterprise partnerships and EU funds, such as through open calls, incubation programs, challenge prizes, local impact funds, and backing programs that have proven results.

- 3. Question of Amvest and active residents:fill empty spaces / create social cohesion/ lift Ijburg to a higher level/ create better conditions for shopowners
- 4. What did we do: We went and talked to all kinds of people living at Ijburg
- 5. What we found out: People are happy but mostly in their own space; – architecture facilitates life inward not outward – there are initiatives but they're not widely spread
- 6. NEED: get the people out on the street and involved in the community
- 7. HOW TO DO THIS: – Unite – Involve – Activate And those are the core values off.... mijburg
- 8. SO WHAT is mijburg : mijburg is a platform. It combines existing and new initiatives and helps people come together at Ijburg
- 10. Mijburg needs to be facilitated. - ACTIVITIES: Connect existing activities, promote new activities, involve outsiders, help find funds - PROPOSED FACILITATOR: Stef Spicht
- 11. - OUTCOME: 1. wider range of existing + new ideas by promoting and actively involve people / parties 2 .apply initiatives for solving problems like empty lots and social cohesion
