Miguel Torga was a 20th century Portuguese writer who wrote under the pseudonym Adolfo Correia da Rocha. He was born in 1907 in São Martinho da Anta and died in 1995 in Coimbra of cancer. Torga was one of the most influential Portuguese writers of his time and published numerous books of poetry, prose, diaries, and theater over his career.
