The document summarizes key aspects of the covenant relationship between God and His people according to the Bible:
1) God promises to be their God and for them to be His people.
2) The women discover Jesus' tomb is empty on Easter morning, fulfilling His promise to rise again on the third day.

Sabbath school lesson 11, 4th quarter of 2015David Syahputra
God made several covenants throughout the Bible, including the covenant with Noah after the flood to never destroy the earth with water again. This was a unilateral covenant where God promised something without requiring anything in return from humanity. God also made covenants with Abraham and at Mount Sinai with the Israelites. However, these covenants were imperfect and temporary. The new covenant established by Jesus's death through his blood is the eternal covenant that fulfills all previous covenants by providing forgiveness of sins for those who accept it by faith.

The document provides commentary on various passages from the book of Jeremiah. It discusses how Jeremiah vindicates God's true character, describes the false collective religion of Jeremiah's time based on disobeying God's commandments and attending temple for forgiveness without changing, and warns against modern idols. It also notes God's promise to gather a remnant and fulfill his promises through Jesus, and lessons we can learn from Jeremiah about faithfulness, obedience, and true religion.
Christmas is the celebration of the Incarnation, which is the central point of God's mission to the nations of the world. When we find our place in story of the mission of God we find the reason for the season!
The document discusses recovering the full four-chapter gospel by looking at creation, fall, redemption, and new creation. It argues Christianity is about more than going to heaven - it is putting all of creation right. The four chapters bookend humanity's existence from the Garden to the eternal city, providing vision for our lives. The gospel is about God's plan to renew the world, not just individual fulfillment.
1) God has a plan for our lives to prosper and give us hope. We should trust in God with all our heart and acknowledge Him in all our ways.
2) God created us for a purpose and has given us good works to accomplish. We should complete the mission God has given us.
3) Jesus demonstrated His power and authority over nature by instructing Simon to let down his nets for a catch, which resulted in a massive haul of fish, more than the nets could hold. Simon and his partners were in awe of this power from God.

It states that Christmas commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ, who was prophesied by Isaiah and Micah to be born of a virgin in Bethlehem. It describes that Jesus came to earth to save humanity from sins by dying on the cross and resurrecting from the dead. It concludes by explaining that Jesus offers the gift of eternal life to all who repent and believe in him.
The document discusses two Bible passages. The first passage from Genesis describes Joseph's dreams that his brothers would bow down to him, which made his brothers jealous. The second passage discusses wives submitting to their husbands as the church submits to Christ, and husbands loving their wives as Christ loves the church. The document also lists some life lessons that can be learned from Joseph, including don't quit and be faithful to God. It encourages trusting God and seeking Him with all your heart, as His plans are for prosperity.
The document contains several Bible verses about working hard and using your talents for God, not just for people. It also discusses stories from the Bible about Ehud and Elgon, David and Saul, Jesus healing blind men, and how the Holy Spirit uses every part of the body. This document discusses Christ's work in the heavenly sanctuary based on the earthly sanctuary model described in the Bible. It describes Christ's work in 3 phases: (1) His work in the outer court as the sin offering and Lamb of God through His death on the cross. (2) His work in the holy place as our High Priest and Intercessor, representing believers before God. (3) His work in the most holy place since 1844 involving purification and judgment. The sanctuary teachings reveal Christ's ongoing priestly ministry for our salvation.
The document summarizes key people and events from the books of Ezra and Nehemiah. It describes how the Israelites returned from exile in Babylon and lists that were made to account for sacred temple articles, repatriated exiles, Levites who lagged behind, dwellers of Jerusalem, and members of the choir. The overall message is that God was in control of history and cared for each individual and detail as the Israelites rebuilt Jerusalem and restored worship at the temple.
Hebrews 2:5-13 discusses humanity's role in creation and Jesus' accomplishment on the cross. It references Psalm 8, where God made humanity to rule over creation but be slightly lower than angels. Jesus was made temporarily lower than angels and suffered death so that through God's grace he could experience death for all people. By bringing many to salvation, God made Jesus the perfect author of salvation. Both Jesus and those he saves are part of the same family, and he is not ashamed to call believers his brothers.
Sabbath school lesson 10, 2nd quarter of 2016David Syahputra
Jesus fulfilled prophecies from the Old Testament during his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. He rebuked the religious leaders for their lack of fruit and faith. The document examines Jesus' messages during the last days before his crucifixion, wherein he strongly urged people to stop formalism and make eternal life decisions by accepting him.
This document discusses the origins of sin and its consequences for humanity. It explains that Adam and Eve's disobedience separated them from God and introduced sin into the world. As a result, humanity tries unsuccessfully to reach God through their own efforts. The document then discusses how Jesus came down as a perfect sacrifice to take away humanity's sins as their substitute, captain of salvation, and sanctifier. The document discusses Jesus as the Word of God based on biblical passages. It makes three key points:
1) In the beginning, the Word was with God and was God, indicating Jesus' deity as the creator of all things.
2) The Word became flesh in Jesus Christ and dwelt among humanity to reveal God, though he was rejected by the world he created.
3) However, all who receive Jesus by believing in him are given the right to become children of God, born not of human will but of God, showing Jesus offers salvation and new spiritual life to believers.

Encountering Jesus: Through the Holy SpiritRuel Guerrero
Jesus breathe on the disciples after his resurrection to receive the Holy Spirit. But he also told them before he ascended to wait for the Father's gift, the infilling of the Holy Spirit. When Pentecost came, the prophecy of Joel was fulfilled and the disciples were empowered to preach the Gospel throughout the world (Acts 2:1-21).
The word heart appears more than 800 times in the Bible but what does it mean? The heart is the totality of who I am, body, soul and spirit. past experiences especially traumatic experiences can create wounds of the heart. Rejection is a very common wound of the heart. There are two principles ways a wound of rejection is managed by trying to be good enough to gain acceptance (perfectionism) and by rebelling against the system denying the need for love and acceptance. In Jesus we can find acceptance and healing.

The Sins Of The Godless Jude 4, Adapted from a sermon by Steve Shepherd http://www.sermoncentral.com/sermons/the-sins-of-the-godless-steve-shepherd-sermon-on-sin-exposed-126608.asp
The document discusses the work of the Holy Spirit. It states that the Holy Spirit has always been at work in the world through creation, signs and wonders, empowering prophets, and inspiring scripture. However, after Jesus made atonement for sins and ascended to heaven, he inaugurated a new era where the Holy Spirit was poured out on the church. This new era is marked by the Spirit glorifying Christ by empowering believers and transforming them, manifesting spiritual gifts, and calling all nations to faith to fulfill the new covenant.
The document discusses various relationship topics including why people get into relationships, qualities of Mr. or Miss Right, the meanings of dating and courtship, distinguishing a person from their attributes, who should initiate actions, different types of men, whether there is a right formula for relationships, determining if someone is right for you, and why sex should be avoided in relationships. It also provides contact information for a church and requests prayer points.
God works through faith to both justify and sanctify believers. Justification is an act where God credits righteousness, while sanctification transforms believers into Christ's image. Justifying faith necessarily leads to sanctification for four reasons: 1) It perseveres over time. 2) It trusts Christ for all his promises. 3) It embraces all that Christ is. 4) It satisfies the heart in God through Christ. This life-transforming faith reconciles salvation depending on life transformation with justification by faith alone.
The document discusses anger and how Christians should handle it. Several Bible passages are cited that teach believers to control their anger and not sin, to be slow to anger, and to put away wrath, anger, malice and slander. Christians are instructed to not let the sun go down on their anger, to speak the truth to each other, and to be kind, tenderhearted and forgiving as God in Christ forgave them.
This is a Bible Study presentation given to my Grace & Truth Bible Study 10.4.15. It is themed from a study I heard Pastor Andy Stanley give and so helpful in asking the question: Is my sin after salvation forgiven?
Christ's Commission to Make Disciples of All NationsTrinityEvangel
This document discusses the Great Commission given by Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20 to make disciples of all nations. It notes that 75% of Christians have not shared their faith in the past 6 months. It explores common excuses and objections for not evangelizing, such as lack of training, debates around predestination, concerns about cultural relevance, and preferences for revival meetings over personal evangelism. Statistics show that most people come to faith through family and friends rather than church activities. The document argues that the ultimate goal of making disciples is for more people to worship and glorify God, and that the mission to evangelize will one day end when all people have been reached, but worship will continue forever.
Given Nov 1, 2014 by Pastor Brent Lokker at Blazing Fire Church. Brent expands upon and gives practical insights about Leif Hetland's teachings last week. The document outlines the Order of Salvation according to Christian theology as:
1. Election by God
2. The gospel call of proclaiming the message
3. Regeneration or being born again
4. Conversion through faith and repentance
5. Justification or being made righteous in God's sight
6. Adoption into God's family
7. Sanctification or living a righteous life
8. Perseverance in remaining a Christian
9. Death and being with the Lord
10. Glorification through resurrection
The document discusses temptation and how Jesus overcame temptation. It provides examples of biblical figures who faced temptation, such as Abraham, Jacob, Joseph and Job. It describes Jesus being tempted by Satan in the wilderness and overcoming each temptation by quoting scripture. It explains that temptation shows we can defeat Satan with God's help and develops perseverance. People can react to temptation by giving in, struggling with it, or overcoming it through Christ. The document offers advice on dealing with temptation and falling into sin.
Jude introduces himself as a bond-servant, or slave, of Jesus Christ and brother of James. He is writing to believers who are called by God and beloved in Him. Jude wishes them mercy, peace, and love multiplied. The document provides background on apostasy, beginning with a definition and examples from church history. It profiles Arius and the 4th century Arian heresy which denied the full deity of Christ. The teaching of the Jehovah's Witnesses is presented as a modern form of Arianism. The importance of contending for the faith against apostasy is discussed.
Propitiation for the Sins of the PeopleDave Stewart
Jesus is our propitiation that takes away the sins of the people. In providing for our salvation we see the greatest act of love and the greatest act of obedience. This sermon is background for the next lesson in the series.
The document discusses the identity of Christians according to scripture. It describes Christians as new creations in Christ who are children of God, chosen and holy, enslaved to righteousness, God's workmanship, Christ's friends, born again, expressions of Christ's life, reconciled to God, ambassadors of Christ, temples of God, part of the true vine, the salt and light of the world, and hidden with Christ in God. The overall message is that Christians have a new identity and purpose through their relationship with Christ.
Being transformed in your mind (Romans12) means rethinking your self image. Those who have placed their trust in Jesus are in Christ. This is a fundamental change. Our identity is now who we are in Christ. The New testament has many descriptions of who we are in Christ and we need to live on the basis of these statements and not by what the world tells us were are or should be.

1) The document discusses how in Christ, one has an identity of being accepted, secure, and significant.
2) It affirms that in Christ, one belongs to God, is a member of Christ's body, and is united with the Lord. They are complete, safe from harm, and have a spirit of power.
3) Additionally, the document states that in Christ, one has purpose as salt and light, can do all things through Christ, and is God's workmanship, appointed to bear fruit and be a channel of His life as a branch of the vine.
To understand and know who we are in Christ we need to know understand how God sees us. The problem is that most people have a false idea about what God is like that has been created by past experiences especially what they were taught or experienced as a child. To know the truth of who we are in Christ requires us to know the truth about what God is really like as revealed in the Scriptures and supremely in Jesus.
Kathleen O'Brien reflects on questions of identity and what defines her sense of self. She believes that at her age, she is still exploring and learning from experiences to understand who she is. She sees herself as a kind, caring person who tries to put herself in others' shoes. Her job as a model in London is something that defines her identity. Close relationships with friends and family as well as impactful experiences like moving countries and balancing work with school have shaped who she is becoming. However, she is unsure how others perceive her due to being shy initially.
The document provides background on Jesus' life and mission according to Christian texts. It discusses how God created humanity to be like him, but the fall of man corrupted this. It was then the mission of the Messiah, Jesus, to restore what was lost as the new Adam. Jesus took on John the Baptist's failed mission and restored the three blessings by overcoming Satan's temptations in the wilderness. He preached and baptized as John had done before being imprisoned and killed, while Jesus continued his work of teaching and healing the people of Galilee.
Lesson 1 of 26 in a series of New Testament Vistas. This sermon on the Birth of Christ was presented October 30, 2011, at Palm Desert Church of Christ by Dale Wells.
The document provides background on Jesus' life and ministry. It discusses how he fulfilled prophecies by coming as the Messiah to restore what was lost in the Fall and establish God's kingdom on Earth. However, Jesus faced opposition from religious leaders who had Jesus arrested and crucified, though he was sinless. The document explores the theological significance of Jesus and John the Baptist in God's providence to save humanity.
God told Moses to view the Promised Land from Mount Nebo before dying, as he was not allowed to enter due to disobeying God. Moses asked God to appoint a new leader for Israel. God chose Joshua and had Moses commission him before Eleazar and the congregation by laying hands on him and transferring some of his authority.
Genesis is divided into two main sections - chapters 1-11 covering creation to the Tower of Babel, and 12-50 covering the patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It begins with God creating the heavens and the earth in six days and ends with Joseph's body being taken back to Canaan. Key people and events included Adam and Eve, the fall of man, Noah and the flood, the Tower of Babel, God's covenant with Abraham, the stories of Isaac being offered as a sacrifice and Jacob wrestling with God.
God prepares the coming of jesus lesson # 6 EmanuelEstrada
God had been preparing the world for the coming of Jesus over many centuries through covenants and prophets in the Old Testament. Jesus fulfilled these prophecies by being the promised Messiah who established a New Covenant through his body and blood, providing salvation for all people. This New Covenant, foretold by prophets like Isaiah, would be eternal and enable God's people to truly keep his commandments through the grace Jesus offers.
The document discusses how the Old Testament, including the books of Moses, Psalms and Prophets, reveal God's eternal purpose and missionary calling for Israel and all nations. Key points made include: 1) God commissioned Israel as a nation of priests to bring salvation and the knowledge of God to the Gentiles; 2) Prophecies throughout the Old Testament foretell that the Messiah would suffer for the sins of all people and that repentance and forgiveness would be preached to all nations; 3) The Psalms repeatedly command God's people to declare His glory and deeds among the nations so that all people may worship and praise Him.
This document provides an overview and outline for a study called "Biblical Creationism and Real Science". The study aims to equip Christians with arguments to counter the theory of evolution and defend creationism. It discusses the biblical basis for creationism from Genesis and other books. The outline also covers examining astronomical, cosmological, radiometric dating and fossil evidence from a creationist perspective. The document argues evolution is a lie promoted by atheists to oppose God's authority, and that creationism better aligns with science than the widely accepted theory of evolution.
Why the hell do bad things happen? Suffering, Satan and the Problem of EvilJonathan Swales
This document discusses two worldviews - the blueprint worldview and the warfare worldview - regarding the problem of evil and suffering. The blueprint worldview holds that God ordains all events and has a specific divine reason for everything that occurs. However, this raises issues in attributing evil acts like rape, torture, and genocide directly to God. The warfare worldview frames evil and suffering as resulting from humanity's free will, spiritual forces of evil, and natural phenomena rather than directly being ordained by God. It also depicts Jesus and the early Christians engaging in spiritual warfare against demons and evil spirits. The document presents numerous biblical passages that depict God as prioritizing community and unity. It emphasizes that community is not a peripheral concern but rather central to God's plans. The overarching message is that biblical community, as exemplified by life groups, should not be an optional program but rather an essential part of how the church functions to support believers.

1. The document discusses the location of the Garden of Eden, with quotes from Brigham Young and Heber C. Kimball indicating it was in Jackson County, Missouri.
2. It provides details about Adam from LDS scripture and teachings, including that he was the first man created, was born on earth to heavenly parents, and was married to Eve in an eternal ceremony performed by God the Father.
3. Quotes from prophets teach that Adam was literally the son of God and was begotten by his Father in Heaven, rather than being formed from dust like clay as some believe.
Deeper w ill the real jesus please stand up - feb 6, 2011John Smith
This document discusses Jesus Christ based on passages from the Bible and other Christian texts. It summarizes that Jesus is:
1) Born as a savior to save people from their sins.
2) God's Messiah, fulfilling the roles of prophet, priest, and king as described in scripture.
3) Eternally God's Son, deserving our allegiance as our Lord who sacrificed himself to redeem humanity.
1) Moses is told by God that he will not enter the Promised Land due to his sin of striking the rock, and is instead shown the land from Mount Nebo before dying.
2) Moses asks God to appoint a new leader to guide the Israelites, and God chooses Joshua to succeed Moses.
3) Joshua is commissioned before the priest Eleazar and the congregation, with Moses laying hands on him and inaugurating him as the new leader, as God commanded.
Gabriel told Mary she would give birth to Jesus, the Son of God. Joseph initially doubted Mary's pregnancy but an angel assured him in a dream that the child was from God. Shepherds in a field were visited by an angel announcing Jesus' birth, and they found the baby lying in a manger as the angel described. Wise men from the east followed a star to Bethlehem and brought gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh for Jesus. God sent his Son Jesus to save all people who believe in him.
The document discusses several key aspects of revelation and God's relationship with humanity:
1) God has revealed himself through nature, scripture, prophets, and ultimately through his Son Jesus Christ.
2) The Bible should be the primary source of wisdom and instruction for both religious education and everyday life.
3) Jesus came to Earth as a human to teach people about God and to save humanity from sin, being both fully God and fully man. He is the only way to salvation.
The document contains passages from the Bible describing Jesus Christ. It begins with Jesus's genealogy and the announcement of his birth. It then describes John the Baptist preaching and Jesus's baptism, where God declares him his beloved Son. The document affirms belief in one God and one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who came down from heaven through the Virgin Mary for the salvation of mankind.
The document summarizes key passages from Luke 1 about the birth of Jesus as foretold by angels. It discusses how the angel Gabriel first appeared to Mary and told her she would give birth to a son named Jesus, who would be the Son of God and reign forever. Later, the angel appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him to not be afraid to take Mary as his wife. On the night Jesus was born, an angel announced his birth to shepherds, and was joined by a multitude of angels praising God. The document also provides context on angels and their role in delivering messages from God.
Pastor Brent encourages us and challenges us to surrender our will to the leading of God's Spirit instead of settling for judgments, disconnections, and addictions (living from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil). Slides for a talk given Jan 30, 2021.

Pastor Brent reminds us of the simple Gospel message and its power to set us free, if only we would take it at face value. Too often we have allowed never-quite-good-enough, performance-based religion to turn God's good news into a man-made prison! Pastor Brent invites us back to the place where we trust the completeness of God's salvation work in us, and can confidently state that we're fully accepted and loved as God’s favored child! Coming Home To Our True Identity - Charles Razzellrfochler
Charles Razzell contrasts the attitudes and outcomes for two men who encountered God's power: Simon the Sorcerer and Paul the Apostle (Acts chapters 8 & 9). God calls us to experience sonship and values us accordingly, whereas many of us still tend to assess each other for what we do. The best possible outcome is when we know who we are in Christ and live accordingly; Jesus being the Vine, and we the branches. How Does Fear Fit With The New Covenant of Grace? Acts 5:11-42rfochler
This document is a summary of a sermon on how fear fits within the new covenant of grace. It discusses different meanings of the Hebrew word "yara" which is often translated as fear but can also mean reverence. It explores how yara refers to a "flowing of the gut" and applies to God as referring to his nature and spirit flowing out to us. Overall it aims to resolve how believers can be instructed to fear God but also told not to be afraid by distinguishing types of fear and examining the context of loving obedience and relationship under grace rather than law.

Pastor Brent Lokker highlights the defining characteristics of the fellowship of believers as described in Acts 2:42-47 and Acts 4:32-37. Rather than treat these ideas as confined to the first century, Pastor Brent demonstrates that breaking of bread, praying for one another and taking care of each other's practical needs remain as defining marks of Holy Spirit-inspired communities today. The Holy Spirit reveals Jesus and empowers believers through spiritual gifts. When the Spirit is poured out, it alters people's theology based on their new experiences. God poured out the Spirit so that Jesus' church could bring His kingdom and answers through prophetic words, visions, and discernment. As believers operate in the Spirit through agreement and declaration, things can be "tied up" or "released" on earth as determined in heaven. The Spirit convicts people of their need for Jesus and righteousness found only through Him.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

4. Genesis 1:26-28
NKJV
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to
Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,
over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all[a] the earth
and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So
God created man in His own image; in the image of God He
created him; male and female He created them. 28
Then God blessed them, and God said to them,
“Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it;
have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air,
and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
5. Genesis 1:26-28
The Message
26-28 God spoke: "Let us make human beings in our image,
make them reflecting our nature, So they can be responsible
for the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the cattle, And, yes,
Earth itself, and every animal that moves on the face of Earth.”
God created human beings; he created them godlike,
Reflecting God's nature. He created them male and female.
God blessed them:
"Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge!
Be responsible for fish in the sea and birds in the air,
for every living thing that moves on the face of Earth."
16. The curse is broken
16 To the woman He said:
“I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception;
In pain you shall bring forth children;
Your desire shall be for your husband,
And he shall rule over you.” -
