1 Design of the instrument
The ETM-43AKBB electronic (static) three-phase meters are designed for the measurement of active and reactive energy, time-of-
use metering, data recording, alarm detection, as well as the control switch (relay) function for connecting or disconnecting of the
meter output terminals.

3 Interfaces and compatibility condition
The ETM-43AKBB supports several types of communication interface, including an optical port, RS-485 and ZigBee or PLC. The
communication ports can be used for programming, billing and data readout by the supported software.
The meter’s optical port complies with IEC62056-21 at a fixed data rate of 19,200bps and support serial communication with an
external device or hand held unit.
RS-485 communication is via RJ45 female connector and can be used for local readout application. It can connect up to 32 nodes
on the bus.
