DESIGN ILLUSTRATOR
As a Graphic Designer and Illustration Artist with eight years experience in a fast paced Chicago
area ad agency I would like to offer my the following samples of my work for your consideration
as a graphic designer at your organization. I am confident your time will not be wasted.
I have successfully designed for Wrigley, Kellogg, Tootsie, Concord, Sara Lee, Kong. This includes
packaging, P.O.P., trade show, display and sales marketing pieces. With that came the responsible
of maintaining the corporate standards throughout the design process. Many of my designs were
featured on store shelves and showed great sales results. I also have experience with web and
animation.
In addition to a strong packaging design background - I have a passion for 3-D illustration and
product design. My fine art background compliments these skills tremendously. This was proven
to be a great asset to the Wrigley Corporation for whom I designed and illustrated many product
ideations for focus group testing. These are examples of my ability to design package graphics,
product ideation and then build them without dies in 3D software. I believe these skills would
be a great asset to any in-store marketing team as it would allow both vendors and corporate to
visualize new proposals.

These planograms are
used to sell to nation
wide chains such as
K-mart, Wal-mart, Bed
Bath and Beyond, Kohls
and Shopko.

Introduction
The client wanted to
see several structural
and graphic
combinations
utilizing various
materials. The client
was able to see what
each concept would
look like and get a
cost estimate based on
the illustrations. This
allowed the client to
make a decision based
both on cost and poten-
tial P.O.S. appeal and
performance.

Introduction
I created the concept of
a concave bottle design
to give the consumer
a better grip on the
bottle. In addition I
incorported the
embossed logo not only
for a visual compliment
but as an additional
safeguard to prevent
slipping from the
consumer’s hand. Once
I created the product
design I was able to
illustrate and animate
it in 3D, giving the
marketing team more
time to sell the product
while it was in
production.

Introduction
I was asked to develop
structural packaging
for a high end cutlery
product. These images
are samples of the 3D
illustrations used to sell
the client a package
solution.
Client was able to see
what package would
look and be able to
compare costs based
on marketing input.
Client saved on budget
through the ideation
process.

The client wanted to
create an “ice cream
center” end cap.
I conceptualized and
illustrated the, graphics
and structures shown.
Through the use of
typography and color I
was able to give them a
fun look that stood out.
I them superimposed
them into a store
setting. This enabled
the client to use images
for focus group testing
before actual
production, making
changes with consumer
feedback.

Project Parameters:
Client requested design
concepts for large gum
ball machine package
for retail sale. Target
market: Mom’s and
8-10 year olds.
Design solution/action:
I created a full size
concept with copy and
imagery in position.
I created “dancing”
gum balls and
incorporated “action”
photography. I also
created full size mock
up for client.
Results: Client chose
my design. Design was
printed and sold into
various retail stores in
May of 2007.

Introduction
Project Parameters:
Client needed a hang
tag and display carton
for new product: Light-
up safety wand for Hal-
loween.
Design Solution/action:
I created 2 graphic
options for the hang
tag, showing bats,
haunted house, lantern
imagery, etc. I also
developed the graph-
ics for the shelf display
carton, incorporating
same graphic theme as
the hang tag.
Results:
Client approved my
design and had it
printed. Product was
sold into various retail
stores and appeared on
shelves in Oct. 2008

Introduction
Project Parameters:
Develop a new holiday
container and display
for Life Saver®
mint.
Design Solutions/
action:
I developed a container
using 3D software.
Once approved I
created graphics for
the container, label and
display. Utilizing the
approved graphics I
rendered a photoreal-
istic image of both the
container and display.
Results:
Product was successful-
ly sold in retail stores.

Introduction
Project Parameters:
Create a package
design for Fannie May’s
re entry into th
Chicago market for the
holiday season.
I developed conceptual
packaging which was
chosen by the
marketing director. I
then developed final art
and created a photore-
alistic rendering for use
in catalog and support
material.
Results: Package was
produced and
successfully sold in
Chicago and surround-
ing area retail stores.

After designing a
structure that the client
approved graphics were
created for both the tin

These graphics had to
meet the color restric-
tion and uniformity
code for a major
nationwide retailer.
After designs were
approved I illustrated
the final in 3D and the
sales and marketing
team were able to sell
the product with great

an a tradeshow sign
utilizing an image of
the company truck.
Utilizing photoshop I
was able to incorporate
a background theme
and enhance the type
elements as shown.

well received and used
in supporting
promotional
materials to announce
the show.

kit for sales to promote
new Andes® baking
chips.
After sketching con-
cepts my design was
chosen. I designed and
illustrated concept
from original sketch. I
also illustrated display,
package and other sup-
port images for use in
all marketing material.
Results:
Package was on store
shelves nationwide.
