Witricity is the wireless transmission of electrical energy without wires. It works through magnetic resonance between coupled magnetic resonators, transferring energy through near-field magnetic induction. The technology was pioneered by researchers at MIT who wirelessly powered a 60W light bulb from over 2 meters away in 2007. Witricity could enable applications like wirelessly charging consumer electronics, powering industrial robots and sensors, and automatically charging electric vehicles. It provides benefits over traditional induction and radiation-based wireless power by transferring energy efficiently over distance while avoiding health risks. However, more research is still needed to increase efficiency and transmission range before witricity sees widespread commercial use.

The center aims to improve visitors' well-being and quality of life through participation in its community and programs that encourage confidence, stress reduction, and focus diversion.
Eco-Adventures is an international company providing eco-friendly travel experiences. Their new headquarters in Chicago was designed around the concept of bioluminescence to reflect the company's values of sustainability and environmentalism. The design has radial organization with common areas in the middle and offices and cubicles around the edge to maximize natural light. Curved walls, organic shapes, and low cubicle walls throughout promote collaboration. Colors, furniture, tiles, and a mural were chosen to evoke the iridescence and light emission of bioluminescent organisms.
The document provides design proposals and inspiration for several projects, including a nail salon, kitchen remodel, home remodel, pediatric clinic, and shoe department redesign. The designer's philosophy is to combine old and new elements to make spaces distinctive while incorporating sustainability and universal design principles. Project designs are inspired by various cultures and use materials, colors, and spatial arrangements to tell a story and create functional yet comfortable environments.

ConceptThe proposed design will focus on the importance of biophilia in hospitality settings by using color
theory and sound therapy to improve and ease the overall recovery process. To provide for the
wellbeing of the patients the facility will incorporate features such as air quality control systems, visual
connections between the indoors and outdoors, and natural light. The concept of sound therapy will
be used to achieve a state of harmony and balance for the patients and staff. Thus my concept will

There is an inherent theme in nature which is the juxtaposition of its natural
elements. The adjacent trees with the earth and the leaves juxtapose with the
branches. I want to utilize this theme in the design of my office by juxtaposing organic
forms with other design elements such as textured materials with smooth surfaces.

The concept for this design will explore the flowing movement of the art of trapeze while also embracing the
essence of a child’s imagination. Inspiration will be taken from the strength, grace, and flexibility of the artists
and related to the inhabitants of the space. Similar to the artists, the students, parents, and staff can relate to
the emotion of risk taking as they enter the emotional journey of education. The experience of the space
reflects the practice of trapeze as the inhabitants continue to grow and learn with the support of the learning
environment.
Concept
Inclusive schools: “for young children, where diversity is celebrated and all are free to learn and grow.”
• A 15,000 square foot preschool that will accommodate
approximately 100 students.
• The five classrooms will be able to meet the needs of 80 full
time preschool students, with a 1 to 12 teacher/ student ratio.
• An additional 20 children will be accommodated with a before
and after school program.
• A more universally designed building to meet all children’s
physical, cognitive and emotional needs.
• Areas in the space where services can be provided to qualify
children within the community that are born with an obvious
delay from birth right up to first grade.
• Meeting areas where communication between the professional
and medical staff, and increased team meetings with parents
where everyone can be present at the same time.
• Offices for onsite testing, evaluations, assessments and
therapies to detect and address early learning difficulties or
disabilities.
• A multi-purpose room for family support where team support
with onsite professionals and evening educational meetings can
be held at the school.
• Classrooms for early morning and afterschool programs to
accommodate working parents.
