3. WHAT IS MEDICARE SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE (MEDIGAP)?

Medigap insurance helps pay costs that Medicare alone does not cover like copayments, coinsurance and deductibles.
•
Medigap policies can cover services that Medicare doesn’t offer like medical care outside the U.S. Certain plans even offer gym memberships through programs like SilverSneakers® and Silver & Fit.
•
In order to get a Medigap policy, you must have Medicare Part A or B.
•
Medigap is NOT the same thing as a Medicare Advantage Plan.
