Frances Eleanor Anderson was born in Shanghai, China in 1912 and spent her early childhood there and in Honolulu, Hawaii before becoming a nurse. She married Merlin Anderson in 1936 and worked as a missionary nurse in Iowa, Ethiopia, and California before settling in Yakima, Washington in 1954. Frances was very family-oriented and enjoyed gardening. She lived to be over 90 years old.
