2 hour exam
Friday 15th June 2012
              Morning
For this topic you looked at the representations of YOUTH and
YOUTH CULTURE

You looked at some of the debates around the ways in which the
mainstream media demonises young people

But you also looked at the ways in which young people can
represent themselves online through Facebook.
3 essays in 2 hours

Question 1A = 30 mins
Question 1B = 30 mins

Collective Identity Question = 1 hour

Students perform better if they answer the
Collective Identity question first

You can answer the questions in any order you like –
you will not lose marks.

Make a note in the margin of your timings: write
down your 1 hour & 30 minute time slots and stick
to them
Sleep well before the exam

Have a good supper

Early night

Turn off your PC, phone, TV one hour before bed
(this aids restful sleep)

Read through your paper revision notes in the
hour between turning off screens and going to
bed.
Eat well before the exam

Have a good breakfast – cereals and fruit

Drink a Smoothie before the exam
It sounds daft – but try to enjoy the exam.

The exam is designed for you to show-off all of the work you
have done; all of the effort you have put in.

Examiners are not ogres

They will mark your work positively

They will not mark you down for a ‘duff’ paragraph; they will
award marks for good stuff.

They want to give marks for your work
