This document outlines Josh Verdon's production schedule for creating a magazine from January to February. Jan Lesson 1:​ Schedule Creation ‐ This week I shall be creating a realistic
schedule in order for me to complete my deadline for the 15​th​
February
in accordance with the objectives outlined in my treatment. The
schedule will be realistic, detailed and will contain 3 meaningful
activities to complete as homework. Homework activities should take
up four hours additional study time per week.
Homework 1:​ Article Plan ‐ Finish the article plan for my second
double page spread. This is to help me when producing my article so I
know how I should write the article. Once completed I will need to
then upload the plan onto my blog.
Homework 2:​ Article Plan ‐ Finish the article plan for my third double
page spread. This is to help me when producing my article so I know
how I should write the article. Once completed I will need to then
upload the plan onto my blog.
Homework 3:​ Call sheets & Photo Shoot Plans: Need to ensure that I
have uploaded to call sheets and photoshoot plans onto my blog and
also check to ensure that everything has been uploaded also.
Exams/other subject deadlines: ​ICT ‐ Finish my third prototype for
coursework.

Jan Lesson 1 ‐ Research:​ This week I’ll be working on the first drafts I will
start by creating the initial drafts for my articles. In order to help me
achieve this I shall be researching about story style and how to
write/structure stories, this will help me to create good quality
content for my magazine and to ensure I can use a wide range of
techniques to hook in the reader.
Lesson 2 ‐ DPS2 Initial Article Draft:​ In this lesson I shall be starting to
writing my initial draft for my second double page spreads with the
techniques and information I learnt from the previous lesson. Once
completed I will be getting this checked to see if the article content is
worthy.
Lesson 3 ‐ DPS3 Initial Article Draft: ​In this lesson I shall be starting to
writing my initial draft for my third double page spreads with the
techniques and information I learnt from the first lesson. Due to this
lesson being shorter than the previous, it may be necessary to finish
this for homework. Once completed I will be getting this checked to
see if the article content is worthy.
Lesson 4 Project Monitoring & Flat Planning Audience Testing: ​In this
lesson I shall be writing on my blog about the progress I have made,
what I haven’t and the problems that I may have faced throughout the

week. In this lesson I shall also be testing my flat planing to my target
audience, this is to gain initial feedback to ensure that the layouts are
suitable for my magazine, changing the plans if necessary.
Homework 1 ‐ ​For my first part of my homework I shall be Interviewing
Joseph, who I will be including into my second DPS.
Homework 2 ‐ Research:​ For the second part of my homework I will
need to research about headers and sells and how to write headers and
sells. This is in preparation for next week when I create my own.
Homework 3 Initial Drafts for DPS1 and 2 (cont.): ​If not finished I will
need to finish my initial drafts in order for them to be marked to
ensure that they’re okay.

Jan Lesson 1 ‐ DPS1 Draft Rewrite:​ In this lesson I shall be writing the
article I wrote for my first double page spread which I used for
Lesson 2 ‐ Statistical Research:​ In this lesson I shall be trying to find
statistical research for individual stories/breakout boxes to use for
each of my double page spreads.
Lesson 3 ‐Writing Headers, Sells & Copy:​ In this lesson I shall be
finishing the work I did in the previous lesson and I shall also be testing
the effectiveness of headlines sells. What I will also be doing in this
lesson is identifying colour codes for colours to be used in each page of
my magazine
Lesson 4 Project Monitoring & Equipment/Studio Bookings: ​In this
lesson I shall be writing on my blog about the progress I have made,
what I haven’t and the problems that I may have faced throughout the
week. In this lesson I will need to book equipment and the studio for
both my photo shoots.
Homework 1 ‐​ ​Personnel Meetings: ​For my first piece of my homework
I shall be creating meetings for both of my models and other personnel
I have. This is to ensure that they know what they’ll be doing on the
day and answering any questions they might have about the
product/their roles.
Homework 2 ‐ Prop Assembling and Costume: ​Another piece of my
homework I will need to do before my photoshoots is Prop Assembling
and Costume. I will need to research what my models will be wearing
for my photo shoots and finding props like the book for the second
double page spread.
Homework 3 ‐ Interview: ​Need to complete Interview with Joseph for
my second DPS’s article, In order for this to take place I need to agree
on a suitable place and location to conduct the interview.

Jan Lesson 1 ‐ Production Setup: ​In this lesson I shall be locating and
downloading the fonts that are needed onto my work machine to start
production for my magazine. To help do this I will be testing to see if
the fonts that I’m using export correctly.
Lesson 2 ‐ InDesign: ​In this lesson I shall be setting up pages and
margins for each three of my double page spreads and my contents and
front cover. I shall also be creating outlines of page designs using text
boxes in inDesign using my flat plans and other magazines to help me.
Lesson 3 ‐ Photoshoot: ​In this lesson I shall be doing my photoshoot in
preparation for the next week. I will need to ensure that both my
models and personnel turn up and prepare of a backup and

Lesson 4 ‐ Project Monitoring &: ​In this lesson I shall be writing on my
blog about the progress I have made, what I haven’t and the problems
that I may have faced throughout the week. I shall also be exporting
my project in the right format making sure there isn’t any missing
photos/files and fonts.
Homework 1 ‐ Audience Feedback Changes: ​For the first piece of
homework I shall be making quick/small changes to what my audience
has said about my magazine.
Homework 2 ‐: Finish Final Drafts: ​For the second I need to finish the
final draft of all three of my double page spreads, contents page and
front cover.
Homework 3 ‐ Audience Testing: ​I will also be testing my magazine on
my target audience and getting their opinions and make any last
