This is my media course work of my individual analysis of a front cover of the big issue.

2. Masthead
- The masthead is placed in the left top corner of the magazine
- The colours used are contrasting of the rest of the colours.​
- It is not as big as some magazine mastheads but it still stands out.​
- It is the name of the magazine.​
- At the top there is the date of when the first magazine was given out giving people an idea of when it was
first released and how long it has been around.​
- The font is sans serif as it is clear and bold and simple so it is easy to see and read and people can easily define
it.
Main Image
- The main image is of 4 leading woman celebrities and their heads are on the bodies of the ghost busters.
- The women are: Hillary Clinton, Theresa may, Taylor Swift and Serena Williams they are famous women known
world wide.
- They are on the bodies of ghost busters as in the background Donald Trump is a ghost so they are going to get rid
of him as he doesn't’t believe in feminism and that men and woman should be equal. Two of the women in the
main image are politicians which shows they are powerful and influential.
- Serena Williams also recently had a issue with feminism when she was slammed for when she got angry at a
tennis match as it was seen as crazy and not normal.
- The woman all have big grins on their face showing that they are excited and happy to be gaing power and
equality beside men.
Feature article cover line
- “Who you gonna call” is the famous line from the movie ghost busters that the article main picture is based on.
- The response shows that they believe that woman are now taking over and they are stronger then ever taking
down anyone that’s in there way e.g. Donald Trump
Colour scheme and background
- The colour green is the main colour with in this article front cover. The colour green could
suggest envy from men as they don’t like that woman are know gaining power. The fact that
in the background you are able to see Donald Trumps head on a gross looking green blob
down grades his status as he is be mocked. In the background you can also see the big,
parliament and the white house, which are all famous government buildings.
