What kind of vehicle would you prefer
to have
- A vehicle which has an Automatic
Transmission system
- A vehicle which has Manual Transmission system
Automatic Transmission
Disadvantages
Less fuel efficiency
Expensive
Costly maintenance
Advantages
Less Skills
Easy to use in traffic
comfortability
Manual Transmission
Advantages
More Controllability
Good fuel consumption
Less expensive
Disadvantages
Uncomfortable
Required driving skills
Smoothless Gear shifting
Can't we perform a vehicle in both
transmission systems?
That's the point
which this project is
focused
To perform it, following sensors and Actuators
will be used
- Three Pneumatic cylinders or Linear Servo
motors to control Gear lever and Clutch pedal
- Two Rotational speed sensors to detect the
Speed of engine and drive shafts (Wheels)
- Single Torque sensor to measure the torque flow
over engine to drive shaft
-Servo Motor to control Carburetor throttle

Here are other side performances which can
gain through this system
-Converting manual transmission system into an
automatic transmission system may not require
replacing gear box
-It's possible to operate vehicle in SHIFTRONICS
performance
