MDC-Khupe press statement on MDC-T logo court case between the MDC-T faction led by Nelson Chamisa & the one led by Thokozani Khupe

1. MDC-T PRESS STATEMENT.
02 July 2018 for immediate realise!
The ill-advised legal challenge by the Chamisa led faction against the leadership of the MDC-T has
dismally failed.
This morning Monday The 2nd of July 2018 our erstwhile comrades applied to have their matter
against President Dr Thokozani Khupe, Vice President Adv Obert Gutu and National Chairperson
Eng Abednico Bhebhe, removed from the High Court's roll.
Advocate Thabani Mpofu representing Chamisa's faction filed the application after attacking the
integrity of the judicial system without justification
The matter was heard before Honourable Justice Dube in chambers our lead Counsel Professor
Lovemore Madhuku consented to the matter being removed from the roll with costs because our
erstwhile comrades have thrown in the towel and realised that their case against our President Dr.
Thokozani Khupe, Vice President Adv Obert Gutu and National Chairperson Eng Abednigo
Bhebhe was ill-advised, unreasonable and unwinnable.
On behalf of the MDC-T party, I would like to thank our legal team led by the very able and
exceptional Professor Lovemore Madhuku, for the sterling work done in defence of what is just and
fair.
The MDC-T led by Hon. Dr.Thokozani Khupe continues as the legitimate and lawful MDC-T.
