This document summarizes key findings from a survey of CEOs on workforce and recruitment challenges:
- CEOs' top workforce challenges include skills gaps within their organizations, managing costs associated with new legislation, and not having enough good leaders.
- Nearly half of employers have positions open for which they can't find qualified candidates, showing the continued skills gap.
- Recruitment challenges for CEOs include not having enough skilled candidates, an inefficient recruitment process that takes too long to fill positions, and a recruitment technology that is outdated or limiting.
- To develop broader influence, HR leaders should proactively work with other leaders to help solve business problems, know both what the company does and how everything works

About this survey
This report is based on the survey responses of nearly 4,000
corporate talent acquisition leaders across 35 countries. All
respondents are at the manager level or higher.
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM®), the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management, has collaborated with Globoforce® on a series of surveys about employee recognition. Our goal is to elicit trends among HR leaders and practitioners about what challenges they face and what strategies help them conquer those challenges. In the 2015 survey, 80% of organizations indicated they have an employee recognition program, and more than one-half (58%) have a program that is tied to their organization’s values. Overall, respondents said employee recognition programs had a positive impact on employee engagement, happiness and workplace relationships, but the impact was perceived to be greater for those with values-based programs.
We surveyed 2,604 talent acquisition leaders who work in a small or mid-sized corporate HR department in 35 different countries. All
respondents are at the manager level or higher and have some authority in their company’s recruitment solutions budget. These survey
respondents are LinkedIn members who were selected based on information in their LinkedIn profile and contacted via email.
ADLIB are delighted to announce the arrival of their 2015 salary, engagement and benefits survey.
Our objective was to create an informed picture of the current salary, benefits, motivations and sentiment towards permanent and contract employment across the South West creative, digital, marketing, eCommerce and technology sectors. We hope that employers and employees alike find equal value.
And whilst the document provides a comprehensive guide to the permanent salaries and contract rates that are being paid across the region, we've also delved into how secure and satisfied respondents feel, what the factors are that would entice change, how engaged people are against their companies vision and what key factors contribute to choosing a contracting life (to name but a few).
