This document illustrates the difference between experimental probability and theoretical probability through examples. In the first example, a die was rolled 16 times and the results were recorded to determine the experimental probability of rolling a 5. In the second example, two coins were flipped 20 times and the results recorded to find the experimental probability of getting two heads. Theoretical probabilities were also calculated to compare with the experimental results. The lesson concludes by reinforcing the key concepts and asking students to reflect on their understanding.
