There are many ways to compare fractions. One way is illustrating the
fractions before comparing. Consider the problem below:
Paul has ½ pizza while Tricia has 3/5 pizza. Who has the bigger size
of pizza?
3/5 has the bigger part than ½ .
Therefore, Tricia has the bigger size of pizza. We
can simply write:

Dissimilar fractions. We can change them to Similar Fractions by getting the
Least Common Denominator (LCD). LCD is 6
