2. Pendahuluan
Pemodelan (modeling) Proses merancang perangkat lunak sebelum mekalukan pengkodean (coding). Model
perangkat lunak dapat dianalogikan seperti pembuatan blueprint pada pembangunan
gedung.
Kebutuan sistem Semakin komplek sebuah sistem, semakin pengting pula penggunaan teknik
pemodelan yang baik.
Pemenuhan Kebutuhan Perangkat Dengan menggunakan model, diharapkan pengembang perangkat lunak dapat
memenuhi kebutuhan penggunak, termasuk faktor-faktor seperti : Scalability(kebutuhan
data), Robustness(kemampuan sistem) , Security, dll.
Pemodelan Perangkat Lunak adalah Disiplin ilmu untuk mempelajari bentuk-bentuk Pemodelan
perangkat lunak yang digunakan sebagai bagian dari tahapan pengembangan perangkat lunak secara
terstruktur dan berorientasi objek.
