CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS FOR IMPLEMENTING AN ERP SYSTEM WITHIN UNIVERSITY CON...IJMIT JOURNAL
Nowadays, Information Technology (IT) plays an important role in efficiency and effectiveness of the
organizational performance. As an IT application, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is
considered one of the most important IT applications because it enables the organizations to connect and
interact with its administrative units in order to manage data and organize internal procedures. Many
institutions use ERP systems, most notably Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). However, many projects
fail or exceed scheduling and budget constraints; the rate of failure in HEIs sector is higher than in other
sectors. With HEIs’ recent movement to implement ERP systems and the lack of research studies examining
successful implementation in HEIs, this paper provides a critical literature review with a special focus on
Saudi Arabia. Further, it defines Critical Success Factors (CSFs) contributing to the success of ERP
implementation in HEIs. This paper is part of a larger research effort aiming to provide guidelines and
useful findings that help HEIs to manage the challenges for ERP systems and define CSFs that will help
practitioners to implement them in the Saudi context.
Enablers of TMT support fr integrated management control systems innovationsJessica Lee
This study examines the factors that drive top management team (TMT) support for integrated management control systems (MCS) innovations. The study develops a model to test four hypothesized enablers of TMT support: 1) TMT's strategic IT knowledge, 2) TMT knowledge creation processes, 3) the chief information officer's (CIO) strategic business and IT knowledge, and 4) the interaction between the TMT and CIO. Survey data from 347 Australian organizations was analyzed to test the relationships in the model. The results support the theorized relationships between the four enablers and TMT support for integrated MCS innovations.

Challenges and Opportunities in Implementing an Asset Management Program Black & Veatch
The document discusses strategic directions, challenges and opportunities in implementing an asset management program for water utilities. It outlines that 70% of water utilities expect to have good asset management practices in place within 3 years. Common challenges include lack of sufficient asset data, inadequate resources, resistance to change, and organizational silos between different utility departments. Opportunities include identifying cost savings through risk-based capital planning, aligning asset management with existing programs for quick wins, building on existing strong practices, and using an asset management framework to assess and measure progress over time.
In the power distribution sub-sector, which is presently the weakest link in the power supply chain, Cost-effective Technology interventions can improve the operational and financial performance of the entire power sector in India
The document discusses enterprise asset management. It defines assets and their nature, including human, financial, information, and physical assets. Asset management aims to optimize asset performance, risks, and costs over their lifecycles to achieve organizational goals. The document outlines key elements of asset management systems, including policy, strategy, objectives, plans, enablers and controls, implementation, and performance assessment. It discusses standards like ISO 55000 that provide guidance for establishing effective asset management.

An Analysis of the Adaptation of Electronic new Government Accounting System ...IJAEMSJORNAL
The Philippine Government, specifically the Commission on Audit, has made efforts to develop an Accounting System called the e-NGAS. It has an objective to improve productivity, transparency and accountability in financial management. However, as a system was introduced for agency adaptation, after a decade many agencies have not yet adopted it and it includes some agencies in the Province of Nueva Ecija. The researcher believes that understanding the factors of not adapting to the said system is the first step for a successful system implementation. Thus, this study seeks to identify, summarize, and better understand the factors that could affect user resistance. Adapted from the Theory of resistance by Klaus and Blanton (2010), factors are classified into four determinants as Organizational, Individual, Technical and Process Factors. However, technical factors are not included in the analysis of this study and are recommended for future studies. A total of thirty Government Accounting Employees from agencies that do not yet adapt to the eNGAS have answered the given structured questionnaire. And as a result, it reveals that Organizational and Process factors significantly affect the users. The factors such as lack of communication, lack of top management support, lack of training, lack of resources, work inconvenience, needed changes in employee's jobs and skills and communication process are among the factors specifically identified by the respondents. Through the information brought about by these studies, the researcher aims that it can help the eNGAS Steering Committee to develop more comprehensive strategies that can address such said factors.

Abstract
Purpose – This study aims to examine the impact from technical and social aspects on knowledge
management system (KMS) success. Moreover, this study also attempts to examine the
interrelationships between KMS success and user satisfaction.
Design/methodology/approach – A questionnaire survey was used to collect data from the
commercial bank officers to test the proposed KMS success model. All the measurement scales adopted
in this study were adopted from the existing literature. The data collected in this study were analysed
using both SPSS and structural equation modelling approach via AMOS.
Findings – The research results indicate that both technical (knowledge quality, system quality and
service quality) and social factors (user trust and management support) play a significant and positive
role in system user satisfaction. The results also show that user satisfaction have a direct influence on
the success of KMS and vice versa.
Originality/value – This study is one of the few studies on KMS which include both the technical and
social perspectives in examining KMS success. This research study raises the importance of social
factors, which have been earlier neglected by many studies on KMS success models. Moreover, the
interrelationships relationship between KMS success and user satisfaction also been examined in this
study.

This paper examines how performance measurement systems can promote organizational learning and strategic alignment in Thailand's public sector. It hypothesizes that interactive use of strategic performance measurement systems leads to both organizational learning and strategic alignment. A survey was administered and results showed significant relationships between interactive performance measurement, organizational learning, and strategic alignment. Organizational learning was also found to indirectly support strategic alignment through performance measurement. The study contributes to research on using performance measurement in inter-organizational networks within the public sector.
Analysis of linkages between logistics information systems andAlexander Decker
This document summarizes a research study analyzing the linkages between logistics information systems and logistics performance management under uncertainty. The study used a survey and case study to examine how various dimensions of logistics information system usage, like perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, affect logistics performance management. The researchers developed a framework and hypotheses to analyze the relationships between these factors. Exploratory factor analysis and ANOVA were used to examine the associations. The results showed that perceived support and usefulness of logistics information systems had a positive impact on logistics performance management. A case study of a large retail company also demonstrated how implementing logistics information systems and linking performance indicators across departments can improve overall logistics performance management.

North Pacific Fisheries Commission (NPFC)
South East Atlantic Fisheries Organisation (SEAFO)
South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organisation (SPRFMO)
Southern Indian Ocean Fisheries Agreement (SIOFA)

+ Issues
A new accounting standards will be
introduced in 2015 known as accrual
based accounting and one of its main
concern is regarding government
asset values in hope for better
management in future.
(Saleh and Pendlebury, 2006).
However, over the years
the Audit Office has
encountered dismay
reports on government
asset management
activities.
This is one of the reasons why public
perception of public governance has
always been negative though GAMP
and related procedure has been
introduced to govern its management.

Bowen (2009) argued that document
analysis provided better triangulation
upon potential biases by giving more
insight upon situation that need to be
observed and verifying the finding
from other sources.
Therefore, examining the
government’s documents
regarding movable asset
management would help
to enhance the knowledge
on asset management
practice.
To identify TAMM strategic implementation element as to whether it is
aligned with MAM.
