Ways to enrol and registration fee
With a view to enrolling, you must fill in the application form on the
University website: https://delphi.uniroma2.it/ (student area).
The registration fee, payable in two instalments, is equal to 3.000 euros.
The Masterβs Degree allows to obtain 60 CFU (University Training
Credits) and, for health professionals, the exemption from the CME
training obligation for the current year (CNFC deliberation of July 17,
2013).
2. Aims
The 2nd
level Masterβs
Degree in Health Economics
and Management, organised
by the Department of Economics
and Finance (DEF) of the
University of Rome "Tor Vergata"
in collaboration with the Centre
for Applied Economic Research in
Health (C.R.E.A. SanitΓ ), aims
at providing and updating
theoretical and practical skills
useful for managing health
services and also usable in public
and private health units and
companies. Dedicated modules
allow to specialize in specific areas
of interest.
Target participants and
admission requirements
The Master's Degree is targeted
to those who have a Specialist
or Master's Degree and to
those who have an old-system
Bachelorβs Degree in Medicine
and Surgery, Nursing and
other healthcare professions,
Economics, Law, Political Science,
Statistical Science.
The Master's Board may assess
whether degrees in other
disciplines are suitable and eligible
for being admitted to the Masterβs
Degree. The main job and career
opportunities are connected to
managerial roles, but also to roles
of responsibility within public and
private healthcare units.
During the Masterβs Degree
internships and traineeships can
be carried out.
Teaching Methods
The lessons are delivered
remotely and will alternate
with face-to-face meetings
(blended e-learning mode),
thus combining learner comfort
and training efficacy. The distance
lessons can be followed using
PCs, tablets and smartphones, 24
hours a day and for an unlimited
number of times. The platform
makes it possible to consult the
teaching and research material
(documents, slides, videos, etc.),
as well as to carry out exercises
and self-learning tests. There
will be 7 face-to-face meetings
in Rome held in the period
between March-and November
(approximately one day per
month excluding summer
periods).

The approach is multidisciplinary
and features economics,
management, epidemiology and
health planning, legal aspects and
profiles, as well as organisation of
healthcare services. The teaching
approach combines theory and
practice and is aimed at
developing problem solving
skills. Face-to-face and distance
learning is matched by round-
table discussion with experts and
the analysis of case studies.
Lecturers come from the main
Italian and foreign Universities,
as well as from public and
private health sector bodies and
institutions.
Training pathway
The training pathway includes
a preparatory module designed
to bring learnersβ basic
knowledge to the same level,
and a common module in which
the fundamental subjects for
developing managerial skills are
analysed, as well as a specialist
module.
