This document outlines the differences between an existing master's level research project (MRD) and a proposed revised MRD at the same level. The proposed MRD would have industry focus, require four progress seminars to report on deliverables, and include an external panel evaluation. It would result in both a project report and research paper, and follow a more structured flow outlined in the document which includes orientation, introductory webinars, topic submission and seminars to present introductions, frameworks, methodologies, findings and conclusions. A form is also provided to submit research proposals which requires outlining the research problem, justification and impact, literature review, methods, sources, bibliography and work plan.
