1) The document provides examples for computing mass from situations expressed as fractions, such as computing 180g as 3/4 of 240g.
2) It also gives examples of solving word problems involving computing mass in real contexts, such as determining the total flour in a mixing bowl or the amount of cake served to guests.
3) Key steps involve converting fractions to decimals, adding or subtracting mass amounts, and listing clues to identify the relevant information needed to solve the problem.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

How to Build a Module in Odoo 17 Using the Scaffold MethodCeline George
Odoo provides an option for creating a module by using a single line command. By using this command the user can make a whole structure of a module. It is very easy for a beginner to make a module. There is no need to make each file manually. This slide will show how to create a module using the scaffold method.
The simplified electron and muon model, Oscillating Spacetime: The Foundation...RitikBhardwaj56
Discover the Simplified Electron and Muon Model: A New Wave-Based Approach to Understanding Particles delves into a groundbreaking theory that presents electrons and muons as rotating soliton waves within oscillating spacetime. Geared towards students, researchers, and science buffs, this book breaks down complex ideas into simple explanations. It covers topics such as electron waves, temporal dynamics, and the implications of this model on particle physics. With clear illustrations and easy-to-follow explanations, readers will gain a new outlook on the universe's fundamental nature.
1. Learning Outcomes
Compute mass from a situation expressed in fraction
Solve problems in real context involving
computation of mass.
2. Compute mass from a situation expressed in fraction
Example 1:
Points to note
of 240 g
* of = ×
=
= × 240 g

=
g
= 180g
Example 2:
*Convert the mixed number into
improper fraction
3
1 of 64 kg

NOTES:
Cancellation Method should be emphasize to find the answer
involving multiplication of fraction by the whole number.

Example: 3 × 125 g = 3 × 25 g
5 1
= 75 g
3. 2 Solve problem in real context involving computation of
mass
Example 1:
5
Suzan puts kg of flour in a mixing bowl. She added 550 g more flour
8
into the bowl.
What is the total amount of flour , in g , in the bowl?
List the 5
* Mass of flour = kg
clues given 8
• Additional flour = 550 g
Convert
fraction of
kg to g 5× 1000
8
5000 g
=
8
= 625 g
Add both values
Total amount of 625 g
flour + 550 g
1175 g
4. Solve problem in real context involving computation of
mass
Example 2: 2
Puan Siah baked a 3 kg chocolate cake. She cuts of it for her children
5
and the rest was served to her guests. How much cake was served to her
guests?
List the * Mass of a cake = 3 kg
clues given
2
* Children = of 3 kg
5
2
× 3 kg
Convert 5
fraction of
kg
= ________ kg
5
= kg
Find the amount serve

3. 0 kg
Weight of cake = 3 kg
- 1. 2 kg
Children’s parts = 1.2 kg
Guests’ portions = 3 kg – 1.2 kg 1. 8 kg
