SUMMARY
I am currently a junior (11th grade) at Interlake High School, and I am part
of the gifted and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs at Interlake.
INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES
My main interests have always been in STEM in general, but more
specifically, in programming, math, and applied math in physics. My
interest in this field has really been developed over the years from my mom,
who started teaching me math at the age of 4, and the programming
language C at the end of 6th grade itself (2011).
In addition, I have also had an intense passion for swimming ever since I
was 3, and I thus started competitive swimming from the age of 7. In the
years of 2009, 2010, and 2011, I was able qualify for PNS Championships, a
state level competitive swim meet, and in 2009 and 2010, I was even able
to place at that meet in the 100 Back, placing 10th and 7th respectively in
those two years. I have also done high school swimming for the past two
years that I was in high school, qualifying for the KingCo qualifying meet in
9th grade (2014) and qualifying for KingCo, KingCo Finals, and the Districts
qualifying meets in 10th grade (2015), and qualifying for KingCo, KingCo
Finals, and Districts qualifying meets in 11th grade (2016).
PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES
Proficient in C, C#, Java, HTML, Javascript. I have also taken the AP
Computer Science test and received a 5 in May of 2014 as a freshman in
high school without even taking the relevant high school course. I have
been programming in C/C# and Java since 2011 in 6th grade, and I am

currently learning HTML and Javascript.
LEADERSHIP
I am part of my own school’s programming club, Interlake Programming
club, and have been the treasurer of this club for 10th and 11th grade,
(2013-present). Part of my officer role in programming club, aside from
handling the standard treasurer duties, was to teach Java to complete
beginners in programming, and this has really helped me to develop and
gain further confidence in my own skills, not only in programming and
Java, but also in teaching beginners and helping them learn and gain a
similar passion in programming.

Varsity Letter in Interlake High School swim team 2014-15 and 2015-
16 school years.
Washington State Math Championship, state-wide math competition,
5th place individual and 10th place team 5th grade (2009), 7th place
team in 7th grade (2011), 7th place individual in 8th grade (2012),
and 5th place individual and 1st place team in 11th grade (2016).s
Knights of Pi Math Tournament (KPMT) 5th place individual and 1st
place team in 7th grade (2012).
Fall Classic Math competition, 9th place individual in 10th grade
(2014)
Rocket City Math League (RCML) Nationwide and nationally
recognized math competition, 21st place individual in Apollo (highest
level) in 7th grade (2012).
American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) national level math
competition, 1st place in AMC 8 (for students up to 8th grade) due to
full score on exam in 7th grade (2012).
Qualified for American Invitational Math Examination (AIME) in the
years of 2012, 2014-16

ACCREDITATION
I received an SAT score of 2040 when I took it in 2013 (end of 8th grade).
I received an ACT score of 32 when I also took it in 2013 (end of 8th grade).
I have received 5’s on the AP Computer Science(2014), AP Calculus
BC(2014), AP Physics 1(2015), and AP Physics C (2015) exams, and 4’s on
the AP World History(2014), AP US History(2015), and AP English
Language(2015) exams (out of a maximum score of 5).
I have also received a 6 on the IB Business and Management Exam at the
end of 10th grade (out of a maximum score of 7).
EXTRA-CURRICULARS
I am currently part of the Math Club, Robotics Club, and Programming Club
at Interlake High school, and I am also an officer for Programming Club. I
am part of Chinook Aquatic Club, a competitive swim team centered in the
Pacific Northwest.
HOBBIES
I thoroughly enjoy programming, but aside from that area of interest, I also
find a lot of pleasure in swimming, playing basketball and football with my
friends, and playing videogames.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
I have passed the certification tests for and thus been certified in Microsoft
Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Aside from the technological area of things, I am also a certified lifeguard,
and have been certified by the Red Cross (2014).

Volunteered as a proctor for the Knights of Pi Math Tournament (KPMT) at
Newport High school (2014) and as a proctor for the Interlake Invitational
Math Competition (I2MC) at Interlake High School (2015).
Volunteered at the annual AP Institute conducted at Interlake High School
for a week during June 2015. I specifically worked as one of the student
volunteers assisting the participants in applying and registering to receive
college credit for their participation at AP Institute.
