Mars is 142 million miles from Earth and would take 250 days to travel to by spacecraft. The atmosphere is made up of carbon dioxide and is not survivable for humans. While Mars has seasons of 7 months each and dust storms, its gravity is weaker and climate would not sustain life. Exploring the terrain and searching for signs of ancient water would provide entertainment, but overall Mars is too harsh an environment to live on for humans.
