This document summarizes a Sunday school class discussion about the end of the Christian story and Christ's return. It discusses Jesus' promises from John 14 that he is preparing a place for believers in heaven. The document then describes visions from Revelation of the new heaven, new earth, and New Jerusalem, featuring the tree of life. It encourages believers to live ready for Christ's return by washing their robes through faith and good works. The discussion emphasizes finding comfort in knowing heaven will be with Jesus and having eternal life free from suffering.
A missionary in Marrakesh noticed a man lying in the desert each day, pressing his ear to the ground. When asked, the man said he was keeping the desert company and consoling it for its loneliness and tears. The missionary told the man to convey that the desert performs an important duty. They both prayed to God, then the next day a spring bubbled up where the man usually lay, and the locals named it "The Well of the Desert's Tears". It is believed that drinking from the well can bring joy from suffering.
This document appears to be notes from a sermon or teaching on the books of Nehemiah and the rebuilding of Jerusalem's walls. It discusses Nehemiah's leadership and the people recommitting themselves to God. Later sections mention goals for fundraising and building a theater, as well as plans for 2014 and questions for reflection.
James argues that faith without works is dead. He provides the example that if one claims to have faith but sees a brother or sister in need of food or clothing and does nothing to help them, their faith alone is not enough. True faith will be demonstrated through actions and good works. One cannot show faith without deeds, only beliefs, which even demons can have. A person is considered righteous based on their deeds and actions, not by faith alone.
The document summarizes passages from Ezekiel, Jeremiah, and Deuteronomy about God bringing the Israelites back to their homeland after exile. It discusses how God will cleanse them, give them a new heart and spirit, put his Spirit in them, and make a new covenant with them so that they will follow his laws and be his people living in the land he gave their ancestors. It also quotes C.S. Lewis saying the real problem of the Christian life is controlling our wishes each morning and letting a larger, stronger, quieter life come flowing in.
Paul writes to the Philippians from prison expressing his gratitude for their partnership in spreading the gospel. He is certain that God will continue the good work He began in them until Christ's return. Paul shares in God's favor toward the Philippians, loving them with the compassion of Christ. He prays that their love and knowledge will grow so they may live pure lives until Christ's return, bringing glory to God. Paul wants them to know that despite his imprisonment, the gospel continues to spread through him and give believers confidence to speak without fear.

Questions Good Friday Why Have You Forsaken Me - Mark 15goodfriday
This document summarizes a sermon about Jesus feeling forsaken on the cross. It notes that Jesus quotes Psalm 22 when crying out "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?" The psalm describes suffering similar to what Jesus endured. The sermon argues that Jesus experienced true forsakenness to show how far God is willing to go for humanity. By experiencing ultimate rejection, Jesus fulfilled what was foreshadowed in David's psalm.
Pyramid of khufu is a symbol of Hathor, sky; pyramid of Khafre is a symbol of Geb, earth; pyramid of Menkaure is a symbol of Osiris, Duat. Inside Hathor exists ka in Million of Years; on Geb exists ba in neheh and in Duat exists shadow in djet. The body of a desceased mummified Pharaoh is evolving from mummy in Duat, through corpse on Geb to body in Hathor.
Ophir, claiming to be the last remaining member of the secretive group called the '98', visits his friend Jason to deliver an urgent message and transfer a sacred duty. Ophir says he is the youngest son of Adam and has chronicled the entire history of mankind. He gives Jason 98 "keys of creation", indicating Jason must now find the 99th key to fulfill an ancient prophecy. Ophir warns Jason to beware of the "Master, the Deceiver, and the Beast", which he identifies as Cain, before fading from existence, leaving Jason with the keys and a mysterious mission.
This document provides commentary on a Bible passage from Isaiah about how the preaching of God's word can transform people and communities. It discusses:
1) How without God's word, people's minds remain unproductive and darkness takes root, but the word brings reform and inward blessings.
2) Though the word sometimes seems fruitless, it is always effective and God uses it to transform "thorns and briars" into "fir trees and myrtles," changing people's inner nature and outer conduct.
3) This transformation brings God renown and is a lasting sign of his grace and power to save, showing the efficacy of the gospel message.
Jesus heals two blind men and a mute man possessed by a demon. When the blind men cry out to Jesus as "Son of David," and affirm their belief that he can heal them, Jesus touches their eyes and restores their sight. A mute man is then brought to Jesus, and after casting out the demon, the man regains his ability to speak, astonishing the crowds. The Pharisees attribute Jesus' power to Satan.
Elder Boyd K. Packer teaches that revelation is communication from God that comes through various channels to individuals, families, and the Church according to their needs. He states that parents may receive inspiration and revelation to help guide their families, and that each person can be the recipient of spiritual communication for their own guidance if they live for it. The document discusses how the prophet receives revelation for the whole Church, while bishops receive it for their wards. It also reviews ways the spirit speaks to people, such as through a still small voice or burning in the bosom, and how revelations can come through heavenly messengers, visions, or inspiration. Elder David A. Bednar affirms that the spirit of revelation is real and
Do you ever wonder how much sharing your faith really makes an impact? Basic symbolism that gives revelations, wisdom, and Truth. By Kenneth Andre. More coming soon.
Pay attention and read the verses in the slides carefully. I wish you all the best.
The document discusses symbols and their true spiritual meanings. It claims that many symbols that are seen as belonging to others actually belong to each individual as representations of their inherent divine nature. It encourages people to wake up, take back their power, and see through the deceptions in the world by understanding that their beliefs shape their reality and that they are divine beings. It discusses biblical passages and symbols as representations of spiritual truths and events related to transforming one's perception and awakening to their true nature as God.
This document appears to be a collection of spiritual visions and revelations from Christ End Time Ministries. It describes various visions of spiritual warfare, exorcisms, and end times events. Some key points include:
1. A vision of a Muslim friend with two concrete pillars in his spirit, representing the deception and false beliefs that had taken hold.
2. Experiencing intense spiritual warfare through Facebook and WhatsApp, revealed to be coming through fraudulent users and occult objects like crystal balls.
3. A vision of an "alien demon" that was destroyed when the name of Jesus was spoken.
4. A vision of the author's mother being falsely arrested and threatened with execution by demonic
The document discusses the importance of character over gifting in church leaders. It quotes John Wimber saying he looks for how potential leaders love and serve the local church, give, and talk about other leaders when evaluating them rather than their gifts. A leader must have an exemplary character and lifestyle according to scripture. Power can corrupt, so leaders must have strong character. Leaders will reproduce themselves and their character in others, so it is important that they set a godly example through their daily spirituality and lives.
This document contains quotes from John Wimber about valuing the Holy Spirit over performances or displays in church. Wimber believes the spotlight should be on the Holy Spirit rather than individuals. He has no issue with spiritual phenomena itself but thinks it should be God-led rather than promoted or brought on by people on stage. Wimber wants churches to give God free reign and not replace listening to the Spirit with theatrical performances that could become distractions.
John Wimber emphasizes that ministry to the poor through acts of mercy like feeding, clothing, and helping the poor is very important to God and should be a regular practice for the Vineyard. The Vineyard Genetic Code outlines serving the city as one of its core values. Jesus taught that when we serve the poor, hungry, thirsty, strangers, naked, sick or imprisoned we are serving him. John Wimber encourages considering what acts of service the Father is calling you to do for the poor and vulnerable.
Jesus' disciples say it is better not to marry if divorce is forbidden. Jesus responds that not all can accept this, as some are born unable to marry, made unable by others, or choose not to marry to devote themselves to the Kingdom of Heaven, though this is a personal choice one must feel called to. The passage discusses marriage, celibacy, and devotion to faith, hope, and the church.
Jesus preaches to crowds from a boat on the Sea of Galilee. When he finishes, he tells Simon Peter to let down his fishing nets even though they had caught nothing all night. When they do, the nets are so full of fish they begin to tear. This astonishes Peter and the other fishermen. Peter asks Jesus to leave because he feels unworthy. But Jesus tells him instead he will catch people. Peter and the others then follow Jesus.
Jesus sends 72 disciples out in pairs to visit towns and spread the message of God's kingdom. He instructs them to pray for more workers and to travel light, staying in one place to accept hospitality. If a town welcomes the disciples, they should heal the sick and share that God's kingdom is near. But if a town rejects them, the disciples should shake its dust from their feet as a sign they have abandoned that town. The disciples return joyfully, having been given power over demons. Jesus tells them their mission is to invite people to learn about him and persuade them to accept his message.
Bristol Vineyard's financial summary for 2015 shows that total income was £185,796, an increase from £176,900 in 2014. Total expenditure was £149,845. This resulted in a net income of £35,951 for 2015, up from £9,896 in 2014. The largest sources of income were regular income at £110,734, gifts at £34,372, and tax refunds at £25,826. The highest expenditures were employment at £82,855 and grants at £20,417.
The 2015 annual review document outlines the agenda which includes defining a healthy church, reviewing the previous year, presenting finances, and looking ahead to 2016 goals. It also discusses discipleship in terms of growing intimacy with God, developing a healthy church community, serving the city, and inviting others.
This document discusses Jesus being the way, the truth, and the life to God. It lists other religions like Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism as ways to God but argues Jesus is the way because of who he is, what he did, and where he is now. The document then discusses Jesus being the truth and life as well according to the Bible. It explores connecting different religious beliefs and rituals but ultimately asserts Jesus embodies all religions as the path to eternal life.

The document contains passages from Ezekiel and John describing shepherds. Ezekiel prophecies against Israel's leaders for not properly caring for their people and letting their "flocks starve". In contrast, God says He will personally search for and tend to His sheep. Jesus then says "I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep."
The document is a collection of Bible passages from John 10:1-5 and John 10:9-10 about Jesus being the gate for sheep. It states that Jesus is the gate/door, and that those who enter through him will be saved and have a rich life. It contrasts this with thieves who sneak in illegally to steal and destroy.
The document discusses Jesus' teachings about being the light of the world from the Gospel of John. It provides several passages from John where Jesus says he is the light of the world and that those who follow him will not walk in darkness but have the light of life. The document also references passages from Leviticus about the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles and Exodus about God leading the Israelites with a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night.
The document discusses persistence in prayer based on two passages from the Bible. It notes that Jesus tells a parable about a man who persistently asks his friend for bread late at night. Even though the friend refuses at first, he gets up and gives the man what he needs because of his persistence. The document then quotes another passage where Jesus says those who ask will receive, those who seek will find, and those who knock will have the door opened. This implies that believers should persist in prayer.
This document contains summaries of four biblical passages about disciples and teachers. The first passage describes Paul's background and education under Gamaliel in Jerusalem. The second tells how Jesus called Simon Peter and Andrew to follow him and become fishers of men. The third recounts Jesus walking on water and calming the disciples' fears during a storm. The fourth mentions Barnabas finding Paul in Tarsus and them teaching together in Antioch, where the disciples were first called Christians.
This document discusses church and Christianity from multiple perspectives. It begins by asking if the reader is a follower or Christian and attends church. It then shares two bible passages where Jesus tells his disciples to make disciples of all nations and teach them his commands. The document notes some disadvantages of church, including having the wrong goal of just attending rather than spiritual growth. It shares a bible quote about pursuing perfection in Christ. Overall, the document examines the role and purpose of church from Jesus' perspective through various quotes and perspectives.
This document discusses creationism and evolution. It presents perspectives from both sides of the debate. It questions whether evolution has disproved creation and examines arguments that evolution is proven fact versus a theory. It also questions why discussion of alternatives to evolution is ridiculed rather than allowed as open scientific debate. Both sides cite scientists and researchers to support their positions on the relationship between science and religion regarding the origins of life.
This document presents perspectives from scientists and philosophers on the relationship between science and religion. It includes quotes that both support and reject the compatibility of science and faith. For example, Peter Atkins asserts that science and faith cannot be reconciled, while Francis Collins believes Darwinism is fully compatible with religious beliefs. The document also discusses philosophical arguments for and against the existence of God, such as Thomas Aquinas' cosmological argument and challenges to that view.
This document provides an overview of major people and events in the history of ancient Israel, from their exodus from Egypt through the exile and return. It lists the 12 minor prophets and notes the approximate dates of their prophecies. Timelines show the division of Israel into northern and southern kingdoms and the fall of each kingdom, with accompanying prophets. The purpose and interpretation of Old Testament prophecy is also briefly discussed.

Astronism, Cosmism and Cosmodeism: the space religions espousing the doctrine...Cometan
This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.
The Book of Samuel is a book in the Hebrew Bible, found as two books in the Old Testament. The book is part of the Deuteronomistic history, a series of books that constitute a theological history of the Israelites and that aim to explain God's law for Israel under the guidance of the prophets.

Lucid Dreaming: Understanding the Risks and Benefits
The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.

Lição 12: João 15 a 17 – O Espírito Santo e a Oração Sacerdotal | 2° Trimestr...OmarBarrezueta1
16. Please sit down. Ellis Boyd Redding, your files say you've served 40 years of a
life sentence. Do you feel you've been rehabilitated?
Rehabilitated? Well, now let me see. You know, I don't have any idea what
that means.
Well, it means that you're ready to re-join society...
I know what “you” think it means, sonny. To me it's just a made up word. A
politician's word, so that young fellas like yourself can wear a suit and a
tie, and have a job. What do you really want to know? Am I sorry for what I
did?
Well, are you?
There's not a day goes by I don't feel regret. Not because I'm in here, because
you think I should. I look back on the way I was then: a young, stupid kid who
committed that terrible crime. I want to talk to him. I want to try and talk
some sense to him, tell him the way things are. But I can't. That kid's long
gone and this old man is all that's left. I got to live with that. Rehabilitated?
It's just a bullshit word. So you go on and stamp your form, sonny, and stop
wasting my time. Because to tell you the truth, I don't give a shit.
22. when he took the three disciples
to the mountainside to pray,
his countenance was modified, his clothing was aflame.
two men appeared: moses and elijah came;
they were at his side.
the prophecy, the legislation spoke of whenever he would die.
then there came a word
of what he should accomplish on the day.
then peter spoke, to make of them a tabernacle place.
a cloud appeared in glory as an accolade.
they fell on the ground.
a voice arrived, the voice of god,
the face of god, covered in a cloud.
what he said to them,
the voice of god: the most beloved son.
consider what he says to you, consider what's to come.
the prophecy was put to death,
was put to death, and so will the son.
and keep your word, disguise the vision till the time has come.
lost in the cloud, a voice: have no fear! we draw near!
lost in the cloud, a sign: son of man! turn your ear!
lost in the cloud, a voice: lamb of god! we draw near!
lost in the cloud, a sign: son of man! son of god!
Six days later Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain to be alone. As the men watched, Jesus’ appearance was transformed, and his clothes became dazzling white, far whiter than any earthly bleach could ever make them. Then Elijah and Moses appeared and began talking with Jesus. Peter exclaimed, “Rabbi, it’s wonderful for us to be here! Let’s make three shelters as memorials—one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” He said this because he didn’t really know what else to say, for they were all terrified. Then a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son. Listen to him.” Suddenly, when they looked around, Moses and Elijah were gone, and they saw only Jesus with them.As they went back down the mountain, he told them not to tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead. So they kept it to themselves, but they often asked each other what he meant by “rising from the dead.”Then they asked him, “Why do the teachers of religious law insist that Elijah must return before the Messiah comes?”Jesus responded, “Elijah is indeed coming first to get everything ready. Yet why do the Scriptures say that the Son of Man must suffer greatly and be treated with utter contempt? But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they chose to abuse him, just as the Scriptures predicted.”
Pivotal point in the account of Jesus by the theologian Mark.Chapters 1-8 there has been this build up to the recognition of Jesus as Messiah and his kingdom. Peter’s declaration in Mark 8 – you are Messiah. The one hoped for, for generations, the one come to rescue the world, to establish the Kingdom of God.The coming of the KofG with power (miracles, deliverance, overturning religion, the submission of nature) has a lot more to do with the radical defeat of deep rooted evil than with the destruction of the good world God made and loves.Chapters 9-15 is the build up to Jesus’ death. Jesus seems to think that evil will be defeated and the kingdom will come, precisely through his own suffering and death. So Jesus says follow me and it isn’t for a pleasant afternoon walk but a walk into danger and risk.
What is it all about?Hallucination? Vision? Veil lifted? Celtic Christianity talked about “thin places” where the gap between our realm and that of the kingdom was thin?I’m going to try and convey so of what they experienced?
When I was about 8 or 9 I got a microscope for my birthday and suddenly I became aware of a world that I had never seen before. I scrabbled around looking for things to put under the lens so I could see things more clearly. There was a whole different dimension to the world I had known until that point.Do you know what this is?
Common experiences but move it up a scale, turn the lever up to 12 out of 10The story of Jesus’ transfiguration which is translated from the word metamorphoo from which we get the word metamorphosis seems to have been an actual event in which the deepest significance of everyday reality suddenly and overwhelmingly confronted Peter, James and John.Peter, as per usual blurts out foot in mouth disease and God’s response is shut up and listen.
What has happened in Mark so far? Jesus has, metaphorically speaking, led the disciples up the mountain of a new view of God’s kingdom. In extraordinary actions and puzzling but profound words he has unveiled for them what God is up to. Those ‘outside’ look and look, but they never see, yet the disciples are having their eyes opened so that they can see for the first time the inner reality of God’s kingdom and the central truth that Jesus really is the Messiah – even though he doesn’t look like what they might have expected. So the story so far keeps telling us about eyes being opened, in several senses, and it all concentrates on Jesus himself and God’s kingdom that is arriving with him.
Now Jesus takes the disciples literally up a high mountain and something similar happens, though on another level. All cultures apart from western culture, though we are increasingly realising it, have realised that the world we live in has many layers, many dimensions, and that sometimes these dimensions, normally hidden, may appear.Like when I was eight, we can the look for a moment into a different reality, gasp with wonder and ever afterwards see things differently. That’s how it was on this mountain – Mount Hermon, just north of Caesarea Philippi.
What was the inner reality of Jesus’ work? He was continuing and completing the tasks of the great prophet Elijah, and, behind him, of the greatest prophet of old, Moses himself. Both of them had disappeared from view rather than died in the ordinary way, surrounded by their families and friends. Legends had grown up about their being somehow spared proper death. Now they reappear, with the veil of ordinariness drawn back for a moment, and Jesus is with them, shining with a brilliant light.
What does it all mean then?It isn’t a revelation of Jesus’ divinity, if it were, that would make Elijah and Moses divine too, which Mark certainly doesn’t want us to think. Mark does believe in Jesus’ divinity, but he hasn’t yet told us why? Rather, as the similar experiences of mystics in various ages and cultures would suggest, this is a sign of Jesus being entirely caught up with, bathed in, the love, power and kingdom of God, so that it transforms his whole being with light. A bit like the way music transforms words that are sung.
This event, the metamorphoo, is the sign that Jesus is not just speaking and doing the truth. It’s the sign that he is indeed the true prophet, the true Messiah. And that too is what the heavenly voice is saying. Jesus is God’s special beloved son. Elijah and Moses were vital in preparing the way; Jesus is finishing the job. And the instruction is to listen to him, and by implication do as he says. For Peter, James and John the realisation that Jesus is Messiah is enough to be going on with.
But once again Jesus tells them not to reveal what they’ve seen and he gives them a cryptic time frame – until the son of man has risen from the dead. This puzzles them for as good Jews they thought the resurrection would happen at the end of time. It would happen to all the righteous Jews. And here Jesus seems to be saying that resurrection is being split in two. Resurrection is coming forward and crashing into the middle of history and is going to happen to one person ahead of all others.Confused disciples – for sure and they remained confused and puzzled until after the event.
All of this could remain puzzling to us, too. We don’t generally experience things as dramatic as this story. We don’t unlike the disciples here try and interpret details of our lives and times according to a detailed scriptural plot. But each of us is called to do what the heavenly voice said: Listen to Jesus, because he is God’s beloved son.
Transfiguration – Revelation of who Jesus really is, a glimpse of the reality of the kingdom, part of a bigger story, pivotal point in Mark.Transform – this is an account of what is really real. Romans 12:2 – transform your mind so you can know God’s willThe reality of the kingdom in our livesRemove the veil – enter into the story and mission of GodThe veil torn in two, the barrier between us and the kingdom of God removed. Veil in the temple at Jesus’ deathCreation – Separation – World not as it is meant to be – Rescue – World as it was always meant to be is crashing in, the created order will be restored – No separation between God and mankind.Listen Obey – what is Jesus saying, what is he asking us to do, what is he doing – do that.
