Computer Skills
Rapid Touch Typing English, Russian and German.
I have knowledge and experience of fundamental computer issues: hardware and its configuration, BIOS, system set-up and problems; broad
experience of most types of software: operating systems, word processing, databases , spreadsheets, mail; fluency with internet tasks and
issues: security, browsing, search, download, media, etc., as well as being able to utilize various internet resources and social media
effectively; knowledge of system optimization and management tools; competency with photo software; and some basic programming. I am
well attuned to quickly learning and applying unfamiliar software. I am also very used to using operating systems and software in Russian.
Work and Education History
The listed work and study history listed above is not fully detailed, leaving out more minor certificates or shorter-term or otherwise irrelevant
employment. I left school at 16, with 6 good GCSEs. I worked for 4 years as a technician apprentice at a lift company, doing blocks of
college study simultaneously. I was given professional training certificates (EITB) in mechanical and electrical engineering and gained a
BTEC Level 3 (NVQ Level 3, considered academically level with GCE A Levels). After the apprenticeship I worked in various jobs whilst
at the same time being involved in music, playing, putting on concerts and being involved in the ‘underground music press’. I also gained
City & Guilds qualifications in photography and attended drawing classes. Since then my life and career has taken a more ‘humanistic’
direction, leading into studying languages and moving to Russia, teaching and translating. I see my reading and interests outside of work to
be valid education too. My main expertise is precision in perceiving, organizing, contextualizing, conveying and consolidating meaning.
