Offbeat Mara Camp is located in the 74,000 acre Mara North Conservancy owned by over 800 Maasai landowners. The camp believes tourism can protect wildlife, reduce poverty, and benefit the local community. Monthly reports from the conservancy track wildlife, cattle numbers, and other activities. Nearby lion prides and their young provide constant entertainment for camp visitors. The Mara Predator Project also works in the area to study and support predators through tracking and research, with an ongoing effort to identify individual lions on their website.
