2. A NEW COMMUNITY CODEX
The essence of a community is a mutual understanding about the
culture of the community.
A codex is an agreement of values that are important to us and
creates the foundation of a prosperous community.
These are the principles, we value high and invite you to weave into
the fabric of your entrepreneurial life and the community you are
embedded in.
3. SERVING IS A PRIVILEGE.
REJECTING HELP IS REPELLING
We want to be a helping, supportive community.
Asking for help is an act out of vulnerability. Asking for help might
be mistaken with being weak.
We want to make offering help and asking for help the most natural
thing to do within our community.
And we embrace the concept of accepting help.
4. DON’T JUDGE. CONNECT.
Approached by an idea, by a concept, by a thought, don't think
about what could happen or where things could go wrong.
Think about three people in your network who might be a good
pointer to talk to, to get smarter on the environment of this idea.
5. BE DEAL POSITIVE.
We don’t want cheap and we don’t want free. There is a difference
between making a favor and working for free.
Being supportive among friends equals a fair understanding of
financial aspects, associated to an approach.
Don’t try to buy cheap only because the referral is a mutual friend.
We want to do business together, we all want to shape the future.
We should not sacrifice eachones foundation of doing so.
Be open to explore potential business connection/relation.
6. PLAY IT FORWARD.
Embrace the concept of favors.
Understand that the likelyhood to receive a favor grows
exponentially once you are open to giving.
Delete the phrase “whats in it for me” out of your vocabulary.
7. EMBRACE SERENDIPITY.
Release from the concept of expectation.
Release from the concept of life-agenda.
And learn from those who are better at that than you.
8. SHARING IS CARING.
If you hear something happening, share it with the community.
Feed a platform to get smart as a community, not as an individual.
If someone from the community is on something worth amplifying,
make him/her sound in your community.
9. EACH ONE TEACH ONE
We can only get better if we make sure that everyone around us
has the same level of knowledge than we have.
If we keep on feeding our peers with things we see and things we
have understood, they will do the same with us.
11. BE INCLUSIVE NOT EXCLUSIVE.
If you believe, someone should be part of this community and he or
she would also embrace this culture, invite them in.
Make sure to introduce them to the community so we can all
actively welcome him or her.
12. LET ‘EM SHINE
Make the stage for others, not for yourself.
Let others shine, let them be brilliant, inspiring, wonderful.
They will copy and do the same for you.
13. NO. SHARKTANK.
No, it‘s not a sharktank.
It‘s a community that is friendly and supportive by default.
The market is enough of a sharktank.
It‘s a myth that „Sharktank-Family-Treatment“ prepares the „Kid“
for a „Sharktank world“.
No one will inspire anyone by trying to be better than his
competitor, anyways.
14. SPREAD THE CULTURE.
Go out into your community and spread the culture.
Attract like minded people.
Be the virus of a new way of thinking and treating eachother.
15. FEEDBACK IS GREAT
If you don‘t like what you see, tell it the person responsible.
If you like, what you see, tell it everyone.
