Purpose: The purpose of the project is to utilize NetX360 as a front-end to create unified platform for
viewing and processing Brokerage and Bank custody assets. Assets can be held within the BNY Mellon
corporate umbrella or outside of it. Currently, Pershing processes only the assets maintained in the
Brokerage platform. This project will enable Pershing to process both Brokerage and Bank custody
assets. Enhance the existing Mutual funds systems to integrate with Third party Bank custody books and
records vendor to support Bank custody business. Integrate with SuRPAS abd BNY Mellon client services
Delivery to offer Mutual Funds under Bank custody business. Enable clients to process Mutual fund
activity for Bank custody accounts that will be maintained on Books and records vendor. Have SuRPAS
process and aggregate all orders, Enhance the Pershing Networking Systems and Pershing Asset
Movement processing system to process the Bank custody assets. Segregate Bank custody activity from
Pershing LLC activity for Mutual funds and process USD funds that are either NSCC eligible or Manual.

Description:
Purpose: The purpose of the project is to create 529 Plan set up screen, 529 Plan cusip and account
opening screen and 529 plans comparison screen in the NETX360 application. It also allows the IBDs to
enter 529 orders through the EOD (End of day) order file. It enables the business users to
associate/change a cusip to a 529 plan through the Cusip maintenance screen (3270 screen) in MIPS
application. This project also enables the aged based fund roll options for the funds.
Objectives:
1. Create a 3270 screen to associate/update the cusip to a plan in MIPS application.
2. Increase the Mutual funds EOD order layout to accommodate the 529 specific fields and
modified the existing Mutual fund EOD process to handle to 529 orders, also make sure the
mutual fund order processing is not affected as part of this change.
3. Create DB2 stored procedures to add/update/delete/select plan and cusip information from the
DB2 table. These DB2 procedures receive input from the front end screen and update the DB2
tables.
4. Identify the aged based fund roll transactions from the fund activity file received from SuRPAS
and roll the account from one cusip to another cusip and also update the 529 standing
instructions to be generating order in new cusip.
5. Automate the 529 fee booking process; it encapsulates both set up fee and annual maintenance
fees. These fees are identified by its transaction types from the SuRPAS F55 file.
