A 2-year-old female German Shepherd named Rani was seen for a swelling mammary tumor. Laboratory tests including a CBC and BUN were conducted. The mammary tumor was surgically removed under general anesthesia. Post-operative care included analgesics, antipyretics, antibiotics and pyodine to prevent infection and aid healing of the surgical wound. The prognosis was good as the wound had properly healed 20 days after surgery.
