New York Fashion Week is organized by IMG and has its origins in an event founded by the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 1993. It is held twice yearly to showcase new collections from American and international designers. In recent years it has moved from Bryant Park to Lincoln Center. IMG oversees all aspects of the event including scheduling, partner organizations, sponsorships, and media and marketing through publications and online content. The event draws over 200,000 attendees and global media coverage, and is a major platform for designers to launch new seasons' styles and generate sales.

which was originally formed by the Council of
Fashion Designers of America in 1993, then
