type cast alloy round and flat with a diameter of 10 or 8 cms
so that the bottom of one container covers the diameter of
one magnet and the bottom of the other container covers the

method the danger of any rust mixing in the liquid becomes

11. The Process of Magnetisation
• Take two disc magnets of flat and round surface, one
with exposed north pole and the other with exposed
south pole These magnets should be of flat and round
surface with a diameter of 8 to 10 cms and a magnetic
strength of 2,000 to 3,000 gauss power Now take two
tumblers or bottles or any other containers of glass,
stainless steel or plastic with flat bottoms Fill them with
simple tap water If tap water is not available fill them
with water from pump, well or river but it should be
boiled and cooled before putting on magnets Now
clean and dry the bottoms of the containers and place
one of them on the north pole of one magnet and the
other on the south pole of the other magnet Cover the
containers and leave them on the magnets for the
number of hours for which the water is required to be
magnetised If disc magnets are not available, take any
other two magnets of about 2,000 to 3,000 gauss
