Manipur has some of the most indigenious varieties of plants and food out of which mushroom,passion fruit,U- morok (raja mircha), maroi nakuppi is one the favourites.A field trip and attachments with 2 farmers with on site discussion was done and the information gathered from the farmers an agriculture facilities of Manipur is thoroughly discussed.The hills and the valleys of the state have extended from the Himalayan region and are a part of the Himalayan ranges. Thus the climate supports the greenery here and the rich flora is a result of the climatic conditions that prevail in this region. The hills comprise of 90% of the land of Manipur. There are five hill districts and these five hilly district accounts of about 38% of population of Manipur. In these hilly regions there are around 33 scheduled tribes and minor tribes. The mountain ranges prevent the cold winds blowing into the valley and are a strong barrier that prevents the cyclonic storms that blow from the Bay of Bengal. The diverse variety of flora in Manipur is characteristic of the climatic conditions and the geographical location.The hills are full of various types of flowers, plants and trees that adorn the exquisite hills which make it a paradise on earth. This treasure house of exotic plants and flowers are perched between hills and lie to the extreme north east of the country. However, almost 67% of land in under forest. With the varying temperature and climatic conditions of Manipur, you can see varied flora add to the charm and beauty of the region. The variety of flora and the plant life thriving here has earned the top 10 bio-diversity hot spots in the world. The fauna is worth watching and you can find many endangered as well as local species of animals here. The climate can be categorized as a tropical and sub alpine and varies according to the hills and mountains. Due to this variety of climate you can find animals of different spices in abundance, that thrive happily given the climatic condition.Manipur is famous for its fauna.
Depending on the altitude of hill ranges, the climatic condition varies from tropical to sub-alpine. The wet forests and the pine forests occur between 900-2700 m above MSL and they together sustain a host of rare and endemic plant and animal life. Coveted the world over as some of the most beautiful and precious blooms, orchids have an aura of exotic, mysteries about them.In Manipur, they are abound in their natural habitat growing in soil or on trees and shrubs speaking their beauty and colour, stunning the eye that is not used to seeing them. in such profusion. Gifted with suitable agro-climatic conditions, Manipur is home to various food and cash crops, fruits and vegetables. The soil is fertile and suited more particularly in the hills for growing of different fruits and vegetables. Organic farming is the most sought-after practice in the hill areas. महाकवव काललदास ने अपनी श्ेष्ठ रचना 'मेघदूि' में उज्जैन का बहुि
ही सुांदर वर्यन करिे हुए कहा है कक जब स्वगीय जीवों को अपना पुण्य
क्षीर् हो जाने पर पृथ्वी पर आना पडा, िब उन्होंने ववचार ककया कक
हम अपने साथ स्वगय का एक खांड ले चलिे हैं। उज्जैन वही स्वगयखांड
है। महाकवव ने ललखा है कक उज्जैन भारि का वह प्रदेश है जहाां के गाांव
में बसे बडे-बुढे लोग खुशी और प्रेम की गाथा सुनािे है।
इस िरह मध्य प्रदेश का सौंदयय सददयों से यात्रत्रयों को आकवषयि करिा
रहा है। वियमान में मध्य प्रदेश ने न के वल अपने प्राचीन सुांदर रूप को
सालों पहले सा बनाए रखा, बस्कक इस समय के यात्रत्रयों के ललए भी
यह एक लुभावना गांिव्य है। पहाड, जांगल, नददयाां, समृद्ध ववरासि,
रोमाांचक वन्य जीवन और साांस्कृ तिक ववववधिा से सजी इस राज्य
की प्राकृ तिक रचना, इसे वैभवशाली भूलम बना देिी है।

8. तवोंध्य और सतपुडा की पहाडी श्ृोंखलाओों के साथ मध्य प्रदेश देदी्यममान है और पूरी
तरह हरे रोंग में सराब र है। नमयदा, ताप्ती, तशप्रा, बेतवा, चोंबल, स न और कई अन्य
नतदयाों अपने साथ अपनी तकों वदोंततय ों और इततहास क साथ लेकर बहते हुए पररदृश्य
क गहरा अथय प्रदान करती है। अपनी लहराती नतदय ों, पहाड ों, झील ों और जोंगल ों के
साथ मध्य प्रदेश की तवतवधतापूणय प्राकृ ततक रचना में सम्म तहत करनेवाला स ोंदयय
तदखाई देता है।
यहााँ के जोंगल भव्य हैं और वन्य जीवन की एक अनूठी और र माोंचक तचत्रमाला के
समान है। रेबा तजले में बाोंधवगढ, सफे द बाघ ों की अभूतपूवय और एकान्त पररसोंपति के

11. रूपरेखा
3,08,000 िगव ककिोमीटर क्षेत्र के साथ मध्यप्रदेश,
राजथथान के बाद भारत का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा राज्य है।
यह भारत के उत्तर-मध्य दहथसे में बसा प्रायद्िीपीय पठार
का एक दहथसा है, स्जसकी उत्तरी सीमा पर गुंगा-यमना के
मैदानी इिाके है, पस्चिम में अराििी, पूिव में छत्तीसगढ़
मैदानी इिाके तथा दक्षक्षण में तप्ती घाटी और महाराष्र
के पठार है।मध्यप्रदेश की थथिाकृ तत नमवदा-सोन घाटी
द्िारा सतनस्चित होती है। यह एक सुंकीणव और िुंबी घाटी
है, स्जसका विथतार पूरे राज्य में पूिव से पस्चिम तक फै िा
हआ है। सोन घाटी से ऊपरी भाग बनता है, शहडोि और
सीधी स्जिें इस घाटी में बसे हैं। तनििे दहथसे से नमवदा
घाटी बनती है। यहाुं की औसत ऊुं िाई एमएसएि से ऊपर
300 मीटर है और यहाुं की भूलम जिोढ़ लमट्टी से
आच्छाददत है।
12. घाटी के उिर में मध्यवती पहाडी इलाका, दतक्षण में सतपुडा-मैकल
पवयतमाला और दतक्षण-पूवय में पूवी पठार है। राज्य इन तीन तहस् ों में,
प्राकृ ततक भ ग तलक क्षेत्र ों में तवभातजत है | के न्द्रीय पहाडी इलाके , नमयदा-
स न घाटी और अरावली पवयतमाला के बीच तत्रक णीय रूप में पतिम में
फै ले हुए हैं। पहाडी इलाके उिर की ओर ढलते हुए यमुना में समा जाते
है। राज्य के के न्द्रीय पहाडी इलाके , तनम्नतलस्तखत चार ऊपरी भूभाग में
शातमल हैं: तवोंध्य पठार के रूप में भी पहचाना जानेवाला रीवा-पन्ना पठार,
के न्द्रीय पहाडी इलाक ों के उिर-पूवी भाग में स्तस्थत है। इस क्षेत्र में
बहनेवाली मुख्य नतदय ों में के न, स नार, बनाय और टन शामील है। इस क्षेत्र
में रीवा, पन्ना, सतना, दम ह और सागर यह तजले आते है|
रीवा-पन्ना पठार के उिर पतिम में स्तस्थत बुोंदेलखोंड, एक अन्य पठार है।
13. इस क्षेत्र में बसे दततया, छतरपुर, पन्ना, टीकमगढ और गुना तथा तशवपुरी
तजल ों से राज्य का उिरी भाग बना है। यह पठार उिर-पूवय में तवोंध्य अथवा
रीवा-पन्ना पठार की कु दरती ढाल से तघरा हुआ है। क्षेत्र की औसत ऊों चाई
एमएसएल से ऊपर 350-450 मीटर है और इसकी सामान्य ढलान उिर की
ओर है। बेतवा, धसन और जामनेर इस क्षेत्र में बहने वाली मुख्य नतदयाों है,
ज अोंत में यमुना में तमल जाती हैं। बुोंदेलखोंड पठार के पतिम में स्तस्थत मध्य
भारत, ततसरा पठार है। इस क्षेत्र में तशवपुरी, मुरैना और ग्वातलयर तजले
म जूद हैं। इस पठार के पहाडी इलाके 150-450 मीटर की औसत ऊों चाई
पर है और घातटय ों में एमएसएल से ऊपर 450 मीटर की औसत ऊों चाई पर
है। चोंबल, काली तसोंध और पावयती, इस क्षेत्र में बहने वाली मुख्य नतदयाों हैं|
च थे मालवा पठार में लगभग पूरा पतिमी मध्यप्रदेश शातमल ह जाता हैं।
पठार के उिर में चोंबल और दतक्षण में नमयदा है। पवयतमाला की औसत
ऊों चाई एमएसएल से ऊपर 300-500 मीटर है।
14. मौसम
भारत के अन्य भाग ों की तरह, मध्यप्रदेश में भी तीन
प्रमुख म सम है – ग्रीष्म, मानसून और सतदययाों।
गतमयय ों के द रान (माचय-जून), पूरे राज्य का तापमान
29.4 तडग्री सेस्तियस से ऊपर चला जाता है।
सामान्य त र पर मध्यप्रदेश के पतिमी भाग ों की

मध्यप्रदेश के तजल ों में 80 सेमी से भी कम वर्ाय
ह ती है।
15. सददययों का मौसम नवांबर के महीने से शुरू होिा है। राज्य के दक्षक्षर्ी भागों की िुलना में उत्तरी भागों
में िापमान कम रहिा है। उत्तरी क्षेत्र के अचधकाांश भाग में जनवरी महीने का दैतनक अचधकिम
िापमान 15 और 18 डडग्री सेस्कसयस के बीच रहिा है। मौसम आमिौर पर शुष्क और साफ
आसमान के साथ सुखद रहिा है।
16. जनजीवन
मध्यप्रदेश की आबादी 7 कर ड से अतधक है। इनमे से 75% से अतधक ल ग गाोंव ों में
रहते है, तजनका मुख्य व्यवसाय खेती ह ता है, जबतक अन्य ल ग शहर ों में रहते है।
तहोंदू ओों की आबादी सबसे अतधक है, जबकी अल्पसोंख्यक समुदाय में मुसलमान ों की
सोंख्या अतधक है। मध्यप्रदेश राज्य की जनसोंख्या का 20% से अतधक तहस्ा
जनजाततय ों का हैं ज मुख्य रूप से राज्य के दतक्षणी, दतक्षणी-पतिमी और पूवी भाग ों में
बसा हुआ है। तनवास स्थान और भ ग तलक पररस्तस्थततय ों में पररवतयन के कारण तवतभन्न
जाततय ों और जनजाततय ों के बीच प्रचतलत सामातजक ररवाज एक-दुसरे से अलग ह ते

17. मध्यप्रदेश की आबादी 7 कर ड से अतधक है। इनमे से 75% से अतधक ल ग
गाोंव ों में रहते है, तजनका मुख्य व्यवसाय खेती ह ता है, जबतक अन्य ल ग शहर ों
में रहते है। तहोंदू ओों की आबादी सबसे अतधक है, जबकी अल्पसोंख्यक समुदाय में
मुसलमान ों की सोंख्या अतधक है। मध्यप्रदेश राज्य की जनसोंख्या का 20% से
अतधक तहस्ा जनजाततय ों का हैं ज मुख्य रूप से राज्य के दतक्षणी, दतक्षणी-

मध्यप्रदेश, भारत का दू सरा सबसे बडा राज्य है, ज देश के 9.38% क्षेत्र पर बसा है
और ज खतनज सोंसाधन ों के मामले में भी दू सरा समृद्धतम राज्य है। मुख्यत: यहाों कृ तर्
और देहाती अथयव्यवस्था है। इोंद र, भ पाल, ग्वातलयर और जबलपुर जैसे अतधक अतग्रम

मध्यप्रदेश ने भारत के खतनज उत्पादन में बडा य गदान तदया है। तभलाई और
तछन्दवाडा तजले में मैंगनीज के बडे भोंडार पाए जाते हैं। भारत के कु ल बॉक्साइट
उत्पादन मे से 45% उत्पादन, राज्य में जबलपुर, मोंडला, शहड ल, सतना और रीवा
जैसे महत्वपूणय बॉक्साइट उत्पादन के न्द्र ों से प्राप्त ह ता है। बालाघाट, जबलपुर और

19. भोपाि
मध्य प्रदेश की राजधानी का सुोंदर शहर भ पाल, द शानदार झील ों के आसपास
सुरम्य रचना में बसा हुआ है। यह शहर सचमुच भारत के तदल में बसा हुआ है
और आगोंतुक पर आते साथ अपना जादू तदखाने लगता है। ऐततहातसक स्मारक,
पुरानी मस्तिदें और महल, झीलें, अच्छी तरह से रखरखाव तकए हुए बगीचें और
उद्यान, पुराने बाजार की हलचल और नया शहर पययटक ों क ों अपनी ओर

भ पाल शहर का नाम, इसके सोंस्थापक राजा भ ज के नाम से तदया गया। वे 10
वीों सदी के परमार वोंश के प्रतसद्ध शासक थे और माना जाता है की उन्ही ने
भ पाल की बडी झील का तनमायण तकया था। 15 वीों सदी में मालवा के सुल्तान
ह शोंगशाह ने इस ग रवशाली शहर क नष्ट् कर तदया था। म जूदा शहर क एक
अफगान शासक, द ि म हम्मद खान ने बनाया था, तजसने औरोंगजेब की मृत्यु
के बाद मुगल साम्राज्य पर हुकु मत की और अपने स्वयों के वोंश की, भ पाल के
20. 1947 में भारत की आजादी के बाद, 26 जनवरी, 1950 के तदन भारतीय गणराज्य
के गठन के साथ सैकड ों ररयासत ों का सोंघ में तवलय तकया गया था। राज्य ों के
पुनगयठन के साथ सीमाओों क तकय सोंगत बनाया गया। 1950 में पूवय तितटश कें िीय
प्राोंत और बरार, मकाराई के राजसी राज्य और छिीसगढ तमलाकर मध्यप्रदेश का
तनमायण हुआ तथा नागपुर क राजधानी बनाया गया। सेंटरल इोंतडया एजेंसी द्वारा
मध्य भारत, तवोंध्य प्रदेश और भ पाल जैसे नए राज्य ों का गठन तकया गया। राज्य ों
के पुनगयठन के पररणाम स्वरूप 1956 में, मध्य भारत, तवोंध्य प्रदेश और भ पाल
राज्य ों क मध्यप्रदेश में तवलीन कर तदया गया, तत्कालीन सी.पी. और बरार के
कु छ तजल ों क महाराष्ट्र में स्थानाोंतररत कर तदया गया तथा राजस्थान, गुजरात
और उिर प्रदेश में मामूली समाय जन तकए गए। तफर भ पाल राज्य की नई
राजधानी बन गया। शुरू में राज्य के 43 तजले थे। इसके बाद, वर्य 1972 में द बडे
तजल ों का बोंटवारा तकया गया, सीह र से भ पाल और दुगय से राजनाोंदगाोंव अलग
तकया गया। तब तजल ों की कु ल सोंख्या 45 ह गई। वर्य 1998 में, बडे तजल ों से 16
अतधक तजले बनाए गए और तजल ों की सोंख्या 61 बन गई। नवोंबर 2000 में, राज्य
का दतक्षण-पूवी तहस्ा तवभातजत कर छिीसगढ का नया राज्य बना। इस प्रकार,

प्रिीक मानी जानेवाली ‘टसर' साडी उत्सव के दौरान मदहलाओां

साथ ‘टसर' ने अपने पररवेश से रांग लेकर सवयां में बदलाव
लाया है। भव्य और सुांदर ‘टसर' साडी, पारांपररक िथा

18 वीां सदी ने रानी अदहकयाबाई होलकर की प्रतिभा से प्रेररि
कला के इस रूप को णखलिे देखा। यह माहेश्वरी साडी, जरी से
अलांकृ ि थी स्जसमें रेशम और कपास का सुांदर मेल था। अपने
सामथ्यय और लचचलेपन के उत्कृ ष्ट सांयोजन के कारर् इसने
