Machupichu is an Inca citadel set high in the Andes Mountains in Peru, near Cusco. It was built in the 15th century and abandoned at the time of the Spanish conquest of the Inca Empire in 1572. The three terraces, temples, and structures of Machupichu were built with polished dry-stone walls.
