21. Why New Zealand?
21
New Zealand is a beautiful, diverse location with a spectacular
landscape that can bring you to a city space for a modern film
or fantasy film. With its rugged mountains, vast plains,
enchanted forest, and gorgeous beaches, its scenery is popular
from the famous movies. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The
Hobbit Trilogy, Avatar, The Chronicles of Narnia, and many
more have brought big profits. Even though transportation is
not ideal and the permit will take time, it's the benefit that will
make it worth it. With the New Zealand Screen Production
Grant, we can be eligible for a cash grant of 20%, and if our
show brings in significant economic benefits to New Zealand,
we would also get a 5% uplift. We will save cost money from
New Zealand crew who are generally self-employed
contractors, for which we have no fringe obligations or
personal benefits. We will work with top skilled talents and
film studios we can work that will save travel costs and high-
quality post-production that will meet our needs. With that,
New Zealand is not only beautiful scenery, and it offers many
opportunities within the New Zealand Film Commission that
offer financial support and talented teams.
