I graduated High School with an accumulated GPA of 3.4 and obtained my
diploma. I recently completed the accredited Certified Medical Assistant
program with Renton Technical College. I am certified in HIV-AIDS,
HIPAA, OSHA and blood-borne pathogens as well. I am very eager to gain
experience in the medical field, as I had an amazing experience with my
externship of two hundred and sixteen hours with Natural Family
Medicine. At the clinic I was given responsibilities included cleaning and
setting up exam rooms, filing patient records, scheduling patient
appointments, cleaning and packing instruments for sterilization,
preparing patients for examination by performing preliminary physical
tests such as vitals, height, weight and obtaining the chief complaint and
the reason the patient has come in to the office. I also pride myself in
being able to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by
following standards and procedures that have been set in place. I excel
with verbal communication and organization skills, and maintain
confidentiality as required by HIPAA. I also have strong customer service
experience, which makes dealing with patients on a one on one basis very
natural for me. I am a very fast learner and will always take the job one
step above and beyond what has been required of me.
