Lumpia are a popular Filipino appetizer consisting of thin wrappers filled with ground pork and vegetables that are then deep fried. To make lumpia, minced pork and shredded vegetables like cabbage, carrots and onions are mixed together with seasonings like garlic, salt and pepper. The filling is placed near one end of a lumpia wrapper, which is then rolled up tightly and fried until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
