Two versions of Inventory Management software are available to help you keep
track of work-in-progress and yard inventory levels of all your tagged products:
Real-Time WirelessInventory and Batch Inventory.
Real-Time Wireless Application
Instantaneously transmit tag information between Wirelesshandheld devices
and LumberTrack. Functions include:
^ Query. Display details of a tag including product data, tag quantity,
status and use information.
> Work Order Consumption. Quickly scan tag numbers of product
"consumed" in drying or remanufacturing and instantly match it with
a work order, reducing effort and errors.
> Shipping. Display shipment details. Users can query package
details and scan package tags for assignment to, removal from or
substitution with the shipment item. Tags can also be split when they
are assignedto a shipment allowing part of the tag to be shipped and
the remainder returned to inventory.
>• Unpick. Remove an item from a shipment without having to enter the
shipment details.
Batch Application
Quickly and accuratelycapture and store tag data on handheld devices, then
upload to LumberTrackin a batch process. You determine how often. Useit
daily for consumption tracking and shipping management, asdescribedabove.
Physical counts are so easy you can schedule counts as needed — yearly,
monthly, weekly or evendaily.

2. LumberTrack Handheld Data Collection
Speed collection of hardwood
tally and grade information
and detailed reports that give you a bird's eye view of your
production. Reports can be printed from LumberTrack or from
your handheld device when it isconnected to a printer.
Three batch applicationscan be used on handheld devices to
tally tagged hardwood lumber.
*• End Tally. Enter the number of pieces of each grade
with a particular width and length. The software
calculates the volume.
>• Volume Tally. Enter footage information by grade
and length.
^ Load Tally. Use pre-configured hot keys to quickly
record the volume of multiple gradeswithin a load.
Use in receiving and to record finished product. Use End Tally
when it's important to know detailed composition of each load,
e.g. for high grade finished lumber. UseVolume Tally or Load
Tally when an estimate will do, e.g. for rough lumber.
When receivingpurchasedinventory, quickly compare with
the vendor's tally. In production, create loads with a customer's
requested grade composition. The handheld device notifies the
user that a grade's maximum volume quota has beenreached.
Store multiple tallies in the handheld device, review each
bundle, verify its contents and make edits before transferring
the information to LumberTrack. Analyze production for a
current load, each shift, or for a specific time span withsummary
Choice of handheld device and
uploading network options
LumberTrack's data collection applications run on a wide range
of handheld devices. Thesewidely-available handheld devices
feature color displays with touch screen input, and optional
keypads and barcode scanners (both integrated and add-on
tethered or Bluetooth-enabled scanning devices).
When running Batch applications, conveniently enter or
scan data on the handheld device, then upload the data into
LumberTrack using a docking cradle and Microsoft
Windows Mobile™.
Customers installing a wireless network and usingwireless
handheld devices with the Real-Time Wireless Inventory
Management application may also want to usethe Batch
Inventory Management application on the wireless handhelds
for times when the network is not functioning or the handheld
device is out of range.
