Lucy is a 9-year-old girl who wants to share how her family in Armenia celebrates New Year. In Armenia, New Year is celebrated from December 31st to January 6th. Families and friends visit each other, enjoying traditional Armenian foods like dolma, barbecue, candies and cakes. People exchange presents and children receive gifts from Santa.

• I’m Lucy. I’m nine years old. So today I must
present you how we celebrate
New Year in Armenia, then how we
have celebrated New Year at home. So in
Armenia we celebrate New Year on the 31stof
December, and on the first of January till the sixth
of January. People visit their friends. On the table
there are Armenian foods: we have many tasty
foods, for example: dolma, barbecue, candies,
cakes, pancakes, cupcakes, olive, cheese, juice,
coca-cola, fruits. People give one another
presents, and Santa is brings presents for children.
