Debate on Right to Education Act (against the motion)AnushkaSahu
The speaker argues that the Right to Education Act's goal of universal education in India is unrealistic and unachievable given current ground realities. The Act mandates free and compulsory education for all children aged 6 to 14, but government schools already face severe teacher shortages and cannot meet quality standards. A former education director notes that only 10% of government schools meet the Act's standards, and integrating economically disadvantaged students into private schools risks them withdrawing or experiencing stress. For the Act's goals to be realistic, improvements must be made gradually through smaller steps rather than lofty promises, with the interests of the country rather than just votes in mind.
These slides were created for a presentation and conversation with the Next Generation course of Institute for Philanthropy; presented in London, UK, on June 13, 2010 by Amy Sample Ward.
The document provides a long list of tips for personal development and self-improvement. Some of the key tips include spending one hour each morning on self-development activities like meditation, reading inspirational texts, and listening to motivational tapes; setting aside time each week for family; drinking water and eating healthy foods; practicing gratitude; reading biographies of leaders; and repeating positive mantras. The overall message is about developing good habits and focusing on self-improvement, relationships, health, and personal growth.

This document discusses using online communities and social networking for professional development and enhancing teaching. It provides examples of how communities can be used for collaborative projects, emotional support, and sharing best practices. However, simply creating a social platform is not enough - communities need measurable goals, engaging activities, collaboration and sharing of results, and institutional support to be successful. Factors like active participation versus passive engagement affect the impact on student performance. Designing instructional sequences and the tools available also influence how students utilize personal learning networks.
Social engineering is a type of attack that manipulates people into revealing sensitive information or performing actions that violate security policies. It works by exploiting human trust and the natural tendency to help others. Attackers first gather information about targets, then develop relationships to gain trust before exploiting that trust to obtain access or steal information. Common social engineering techniques include phishing emails and calls where attackers pretend to be from technical support. While no system can fully prevent social engineering, organizations can minimize risks by educating users and restricting what sensitive information users provide over the phone or to unknown parties.

Advantages & Disadvantages of Social NetworkingSofia Naznim
Social networking provides both advantages and disadvantages. The key advantages are worldwide connectivity that allows users to connect with friends and make new connections globally, real-time information sharing so users can exchange information quickly, and free advertising opportunities for businesses. However, social networking also poses risks like cyber bullying, higher risks of fraud and identity theft since personal information can be easily accessed, and privacy issues since users often share too much private information publicly.

Covey says most people look for quick fixes. They see a big success and want to know how he did it, believing (and hoping) they can do the same following a quick bullet list.
But real change, the author says, comes not from the outside in, but from the inside out. And the most fundamental way of changing yourself is through a paradigm shift.
That paradigm shift is a new way of looking at the world. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People presents an approach to effectiveness based on character and principles.
The first three habits indeed deal with yourself because it all starts with you. The first three habits move you from dependence from the world to the independence of making your own world.
Habits 4, 5 and 6 are about people and relationships. The will move you from independence to interdependence. Such, cooperating to achieve more than you could have by yourself.
The last habit, habit number 7, focuses on continuous growth and improvement.
