Louise Rennison is a British author born in 1951 known for her humorous adolescent literature series Confessions of Georgia Nicolson. She based the books directly on her personal experiences as a teenager. Rennison bore a child at 17 but later reunited with her daughter as an adult. Despite struggles as a performer, she went on to write successful books and have her work nominated for several awards. The Confessions series consists of 10 books following the diary of 14-year-old Georgia Nicolson and her adventures in school, romance, and friendship.
