My Co-founder Gareth Glaser and I have spent the last few years advancing firearm safety through technology.
We’ve had a great seed investment of $1.5m which has produced a solid team, pre-production prototype and secured intellectual property.
We are embarking on a series A capital raise of $3.5M with a key milestone of delivering first run production within 11 months.
Our mission is to advance firearm security and save American lives by stopping child gun accidents, shootings by underage teens using family guns (at times in schools), suicides using someone else's gun and stolen guns used in crime. Members of law enforcement and the military serve on our Board and as Advisers and see important applications of our product in everyday policing, Defense and Homeland Security.
The team is uniquely positioned with my 15 plus years in the firearms industry running product development for Smith and Wesson (7yrs) and Remington (3.5yrs) and Gareth's 30 years of experience building business with a focus on finance and legal.
We have patented a mechanism that when locked prevents the firearm trigger from being pulled. Only an authorized user can lock and unlock the firearm. In addition, if the authorized person unlocks the firearm and it is pulled from their hands, it will automatically lock preventing the firearm from being used on them.
We are re-shaping the market. Our targeted consumer is 30 to 40 year olds with children at home. They don't currently own a gun or the gun is locked away and not available for protection. Our solution puts the safe into the gun. Our target market includes those who want protection (they are buying mace or a bat) plus the 5.4M defensive pistol market a target. The defensive pistol market is over 5M units sold per year and we are targeting early adopters looking for personal protection with a safer option which equates to 50K units or 1%.
The document discusses findings from a study on improving safety culture in the construction industry. Key findings include:
1) Construction companies are divided almost evenly into having high, moderate, or low adoption of safety culture indicators. Larger companies tend to be further along the safety culture spectrum.
2) There is wide recognition of safety culture indicators related to worker attitudes and supervision, but low use of indicators involving owners and procedural approaches.
3) More respondents in 2015 reported benefits from safety practices compared to 2012, including reduced injuries, increased ability to get new work and retain staff.
4) Respondents with high adoption of safety culture indicators reported more benefits, including improved project quality and ROI.

Captains of Industry Survey February 2019: Business and InfrastructureIpsos UK
Digital infrastructure in the form of high speed broadband, full fibre networks and 5G is top of Captains of Industry’s infrastructure investment wish list for the country according to a new survey by Ipsos MORI.
• 61% of Captains of Industry rate the country’s digital infrastructure negatively; 38% are positive
• They put digital infrastructure at the top of their investment wish list (this is a low priority for the public)
• Captains prioritise this despite being satisfied with their company’s broadband, and more satisfied than the public
• A majority agree that all parts of the UK should have equal access to broadband internet, but this group are most resistant than supportive of the idea of paying to ensure that businesses in rural areas have the same quality of access
Given an outcome, we often exaggerate our ability to predict and therefore avoid the same fate. In cybersecurity, this misconception can lead to a false sense of corporate security, or worse, bury the true causes of incidents and lead to repeated data breaches or business-disrupting cyber incidents.

Global nylon cable tie market will grow at a cagr of 3.7% by 2022 Mukta Gaikwad
The global market for nylon cable tie will grow at a CAGR of 3.7% by 2022. The report segments the market and forecasts its size, by volume and value, on the basis of application (electronic and electrical, household appliances, automotive, logistics & packaging, electrommunication, building & construction, etc.), and by geography (North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, MEA and South America).
For the past 3 years, business leaders and organizations have faced an unyielding procession of challenges—pandemic, supply chain disruption, political tumult, and inflation. As we usher in 2023, many of those challenges persist, and new ones are emerging. Fortunately, as unwavering as the challenges have been, technology and innovation have proven to be just as resilient. Time and time again, we’ve seen that embracing technology, making intelligent
investments, and understanding that technology is not an item on a balance sheet, but rather a driver
of business growth, are critical to shifting, surviving, and succeeding in this climate.
We’ve also seen no shortage of opinions, theories, and hot takes from “experts” attempting to make sense of—and predict—what lies ahead. While this cacophony of noise can be disorienting, ABI Research can help you cut through it with numbers. Our global team of analysts has combed through millions of data points to surface the most interesting and consequential forecasts to shed light on the trends and technologies that will shape
the year ahead. These include Internet of Things (IoT) innovation in the supply chain, the rapid rise of 5G-Advanced, a big bet on Tiny Machine Learning (TinyML), and the emergence of the enterprise and industrial metaverse.
Nobody has a crystal ball, but we can say with relative certainty that the challenging climate will persist well into 2023. As always, ABI Research is here to help our clients turn these challenges into
opportunities by arming them with the insight and actionable data they need to thrive this year and in the future.
