2. Retaliation – Costumes
Whilst set in the future, the characters within my TV show will be dressed in clothing inspired by both modern day and more traditional fashion from the 1940/50’s. By tying in
fashion from different periods of time, it will suitably make reference to the problems with gun crime that have occurred throughout time, without having to specifically
reference each period.
These are the kind of
outfits in which Wyatt
will wear, with being
more of an introvert he
will wear a lot of black
items. He tends to
more simplistic in his
fashion sense and
prefers to spend more
time on things other
than what to wear.
With Jamie’s family
being wealthier, his
parents are more
concerned with his
fashion sense.
Therefore, Jamie
wears more designer
like clothing and is a
lot more vibrant and
adventurous in what
he wears.
Clothing in which
other
students/others
within the show
wear include…
3. Retaliation – Settings and Location Shots
The main setting for my TV Show will be the High School in which Jamie and Wyatt attend, however they will also be shown in Jamie’s bedroom a lot, including within both of their
homes with their family. The settings amongst the five episodes will switch between the same settings, however there will also be scenes in other settings, including a scene in a gun
shop where the boys will buy weapons. The High School in which the scenes will be filmed within is Deyes High School, in Liverpool, the classrooms are a perfect size as well as the
Library and Main Hall area providing a large area in which to film the shooting scenes.
4. Retaliation – Props
Throughout the episodes within the TV show, many props will be used, the majority of the props will be used during episodes 3 and 4 when the boys
are testing their weapons and creating explosives with the objects and chemicals they stole from the science lab. Many weapons will be used
throughout the film, however these will all be fake props in order to ensure the safety of those working in and around the set.
5. Retaliation – Soundtrack
I selected these 10 songs to feature on the soundtrack for Retaliation as I felt they will enhance the show as a whole, giving it more depth and
allowing the audience to understand the characters even more.
1. Symphony – Clean Bandit ft Zara Larsson (Instrumental) (played during beginning montage of the show, showing boys meeting and
going to school)
2. Everglow – Coldplay (Instrumental) (played during second episode where the lives of the boys are explored more and humiliation is
caused in school)
3. Goner – twenty one pilots (played during a time which portrays the darker side to the main characters personalities)
4. Heavydirtysoul – twenty one pilots (played during a montage that shows the two main characters preparing for the attack)
5. Guns for Hands – twenty one pilots
6. Pumped Up Kicks – Foster The People (can be used to get into the mind of the killers and create quite a sinister approach to the
shooting)
7. Silence – Don Diablo ft. Dave Thomas Junior
8. This is Gospel (Piano Version) – Panic! At the Disco
9. Car Radio – twenty one pilots (played during the last episode when family are reflecting on the recent tragedy)
10. Truce – twenty one pilots (up to 3 minutes) (played during a montage of shots of the key places (empty corridors and classrooms
with police tape left over, etc.) and families together (some outside of the school, parent in bedroom of one of the victims, etc.)
7. Retaliation – Audition Tapes
These audition tapes are from those that auditioned for the part of Wyatt and Jamie for the first set of sample footage. I auditioned
both males and females to ensure that the having the male main characters was the right decision. Upon auditioning these people, I
chose Rhys (Top Left) and Kieren (Bottom Right), as they fitted the parts more than the two females that auditioned.
