A) ADVERTISING
 The multibillion pound social media Facebook has a total of around 4 million people who decide to
advertise on their social media website/application. This means that the 4 million people who have
decided to pay to advertise then what ever they are advertising will appear in the sponsored and
suggested posts section of someones news feed.
 Twitter have around 130,000 people who will advertise on their website/application which is a significant
amount of people less. Even though the advertisement will come up on both website and application
around 85%/86% of revenue made up from people who have been using the app and decided to click
on the advertised post.
 Instagram is massively used by both common users and celebrities daily. In fact around 600 million users
are actively using the social media app monthly and there advertisments that they are offering will make
a staggering amount of money, for example by the end of 2017 there are estimates that 2.81 billion
dollars will have been earned by there advertising revenue.
B) VIRAL MARKETING
 Viral Marketing. Is a technique which is used on the existing social medias that are available to use
around the world. One example of viral marketing would be people are able to send an email of an
advert which they have seen online on social media and send it to one of their friends who might not
have seen it, another example would be a link would be pressed on something such as a game then it
will open up on the internet, or the app store. This form of marketing is available in many different forms
some of them are the following; Flash Games, advergames, ebooks, etc…
C) PRODUCT AND SERVICE REVIEWS
 Reviews which are left by previous purchaser/holiday maker are now seen as part of an essential part
into booking a holiday as you don’t want to book a hotel and not read reviews because it might say the
hotel has been given a rating o 4/5 stars by the travel agents but someone who has recently been that
hotel has rated it a 2/3 star rating along with a report on how the staff treated them bad etc…
 One example of a product/service reviewing company would Tripadvisor who will allow people to create
an account and review a place such as a theme park or a holiday complex. Some businesses will look at
reviews which are given to that certain place and take it into context for example if a 5* hotel was given
a rating of 3* and the fact that the pool was too dirty each day then they might decide to chase that up
and clean it up on a regular basis.
