2. What does
“Living Globally”
mean?
You might have heard the famous
phrase “think globally, act locally,”
but what does it mean? Wikipedia
defines the phrase as such, “[the
phrase] urges people to consider
the health of the entire planet and
to take action in their own
communities and cities. Long
before governments began
enforcing environmental laws,
individuals were coming together to
protect habitats and the organisms
that live within them.”
3. Examples of
Living Globally
“The whole world is global. With the Internet, it's like we're all
living in a small village. We're starting more and more to realize
there is no difference, we can work together, we can put aside
our differences and work on our similarities and be successful
in that way.” -Shohreh Aghdashloo
“What we can do as individuals may not be very much on the
global scale, but we have to start the change by living as we are
teaching.” -Harri Holkeri
Don't underestimate the power of your vision to change the
world. Whether that world is your office, your community, an
industry or a global movement, you need to have a core belief
that what you contribute can fundamentally change the
paradigm or way of thinking about problems. -Leroy Hood
There has to be a global
mission of human progress.
-A. P. J. Abdul Kalam
4. Why is it so
important?
Living and thinking globally are very
important to educate yourself and
make yourself aware of the world
around you. Not only does it affect
you, but it changes the world
around you- no matter how small
the change is. Being aware makes it
easier to make educated decisions
and better to communicate ideas
and thoughts with other individuals.
5. How do you
begin living
globally?
The first step to becoming a global
thinker and person is educating
yourself on the world. To live
globally, you have to be able to think
of all aspects in question when
making decisions in the world.
Making yourself aware is the first
step, and you just continue this step
over and over. The constant
awareness makes you more able to
live intelligently.
